  • This is my first time out in my new Suzuki Jimny. Driving around some of the spectacular green lanes in Sussex/ surry. Jimmy showed determination as it tested it’s grit against some of the big boys. Brilliant day out. enjoy 👍🏻

    One of these as the suv (winter ) and then a mx5 as the sports car ( summer ) perfect combo. Both affordable and reliable.

      They are extremely good offroad. I've got one, they are extremely good because they're light. However because of the lack of power compared to a disco or defender, you have to drive them a bit harder. Unless you are just doing green laning, then they're fine.

    Nice video. I got the 2017 Jimny myself. What tire size do you have? 215/75 R15 ?
    And what offset do you have on the rims?
    Have you made any other mods like lift kit or something?
    Best regards from Sweden.

      Knowledge, I have bfgoodrich mud terrains 215/75/15 with a 2" pro comp suspension lift, snorkel and will be buying a breather kit aswell. If that helps at all.

    • @namo80
      @namo80 Před 6 lety +1

      Thx man, well the thing is that my factory waranty will not be valid if i do a suspension lift for example. I need to keep myself calm for 3 years before going crazy with mods. I´m afraid that going with 215/75/15 on stock suspention might be somehow tight on the front tires when turning ??? Any ideas?

    • @BluTrollPro
      @BluTrollPro Před 6 lety

      Hey knowledge, have you considered 205/75r15s? They fit under even the 2nd gens fat bumper, and will have a negligible difference to the vehicles gearing. 195/80r15 are also highly rated.
      That being said, have you cleared the increase in tyre size with your dealer? It can effect your warranty a lot as they put the drivetrain under more stress, The unofficial figure I've heard thrown around is that Suzuki allows for a 3% change in circumference (205/75 are 2.9ish%, 215/75 are 5ish%)

  • @danebrewer10
    @danebrewer10 Před 6 lety +1

    No, don't have a go at the bit on the left 😑, if it's not the actual route of the byway, you shouldn't be there and you give all the other drivers a bad reputation for damaging private property 😥....other than that, good stuff, I enjoyed it 😁

    • @GERfusion
      @GERfusion  Před 5 lety +1

      danebrewer10 Hi, at the time I read this comment I didn’t realise that the bit on the left wasn’t part of the Byway. Wasn’t sure what you was talking about. Now I’ve been doing it more I’ve come to realise that the bits that go off are not part of the byways and therefore shouldn’t be used. I didn’t realise we was doing anything wrong at the time. So my apologies. We went down there not long ago and it’s been completely blocked off now that bit on the left.

  • @mikeykeyes
    @mikeykeyes Před 5 lety +2

    Gosh how I wish this indeed was off road! My driveway is more challenging than this...seriously- any AWD would do this loop without much trouble as long as they got decent set of rubber- a/t tyres at the least. Search for off road in Australia for a decent taste folks ;)

    • @blink1821986
      @blink1821986 Před 4 lety

      I gotta second what this guy is saying
      Extreme 4x4 tracks in uk and America look very much like my sedan could drive it
      If you want hard tracks come to Australia without 31-33’s and a 2-4 inch lift you just won’t get through on your own and that disco looks very stock

    • @jdexplores01
      @jdexplores01 Před 3 lety +1

      @@blink1821986 And why do all people have to drive xtreme trails? For me the trail in the video is enough to have fun

    • @blink1821986
      @blink1821986 Před 3 lety

      Dechant Jonas well it’s like calling a hot dog a pizza.... it’s just not at all
      There’s basic dirt roads... unkept dirt roads-meaning a lot of pot holes and maybe a bog hole and mud... then there’s a basic track which a standard 4wd could do maybe even a highly experienced 4wder in a 2wd
      Then there’s 4by tracks- ruts bog holes mud rocks etc
      Then there’s hard 4by track where you definitely need a set of 33’s and a 2inch lift minimum winch is optional but ya gonna get stuck don’t go alone type tracks
      Then there is stuff like hard to say depending on where you are in Australia they are tuff trucks.... basically non road 4wds mostly a cage with wheels and stupidly long suspension
      Extreme track is probably the one before the tuff truck tack
      This is a glorified unkept dirt road

    • @blink1821986
      @blink1821986 Před 3 lety

      Dechant Jonas not to mention I have driven this and it’s 2wd only if it’s been raining a lot a tad slippery but hi range 4wd easy
