having the same issue. AWP especially, I thought it was my ping but I avg 30 so it shouldn't be a issue
i average 5-10 ping and still die behind walls against AWP's behind walls so its definetly Valve
The amount of people I've seen hit dead on with an AWP just for nothing to happen is insane.
It has to be packet loss. I dealt with that a lot in BF3. I’d unload a whole drum into a player and it not register. Maybe a less extreme version of that. In local play, it’s perfect.
as a new player i genuinely can't tell sometimes whether it's me messing up or the game not functioning
In a nutshell, this hitreg just fucks with everyone and the game is now a mix of tactical and RNG gaming lol
I improved so much my aim after years playing CSGO, i was able to hit enemies when they are jumping. I used to be good with almost every single weapon in the game. I dominated everything.
There are moments that i've got 80% hs in forty kills.
Why valve? I spend so much time and all i see now is my shots going through someone's head..

@@Alex-rv6bcthat's so relatable lmao, moving people are impossible to shoot in cs2 because of that WEIRD model movement. And it always feels like they just have no recoil. Just run +w and you'll probably kill someone, that's how cs2 works.

I've been hitting headshots that were nowhere near their head and missing ones that were clearly headshots.. Today my teammate killed someone who was completely behind a box without even aiming close to it...
Yesterday i finally had enough of this bs, uninstalled the game after the bomb did not register. On my screen it planted, the red bomb animation appeared on top of timer and then i got killed-the bomb wasn't planted.
Alongside countless shots not being registered when they clearly played the whole shooting animation on my screen, with sound, traces and everything and my friends telling me they didn't even see me shoot. It started happening to me in the beginning of june, before that there were cases but not as frequent, you could live with it.
Not coming back until they fix this shit. Literally unplayable.
its end of june 2024 and the problem still exists, u can unload a full mag in the back of enemy from 5m away and he will loose 5hp if ur lucky, this reminds me how Valve coruppted a reg file in almighty CS 1.6 so ppl would quit playing IT and switch to Condition Zero, not sure if this is just sad or pathetic at best after 15 years of the same problem existing

They wont, ppl been asking for it for several years and nothing, thats why a lot of them used to play in 128 face it servers
My experience is shocking. Subtick sucks and to top it off, cheaters. 1-3 games I come accross cheaters. I don't blame them, cheats help with hit reg lmao. Made a video of all my misses. Feel free to use this.
I have 40 ms, bullets going through people, delay between shootings and mouse input,vern playing fps for 17 years and cs2 makes me look like a total retard in front of people with 10 20 ms

Yep its complete garbage, csgo felt more crisp. I get headshots in cs2 when I know I should have missed and at the same time I've had head shots on target and visual cues (dink sparks etc) and no damage was registered as well as sprays not registering emptying 3/4 of a mag and not 1 hit at all with opponents being around 10-20ft away. Random and inconsistent is a good word for it how feels playing cs2. Peekers advantage is horrendous too.

Thats why I switched to Valorant. That stuff was fixed in a few months.

However Im skeptical that many of the fundamentals will remain broken for many years to come

Blood only shows if the server detects a hit, blood in cs has always been server side.
More than one of the reddit threads describing such things have been proven to be shots hit by other players.

An example you showed of the awp shot missing, the guy was clearly still moving, and his scope was still clearly blurry.
that awp clip is CLEARLY just an issue with the game, it's not player side at all. That 2nd shot should have definitely landed no matter what. Take valve's nuts out of your mouth
