I lived on westside of Cleveland for 8 yrs and worked there for 10 yrs. I loved it. There's the Rock Hall of Fame, Cleveland museum of Art and museum of history-world class museums, the Botanical Gardens, Playhouse Square, Hanna theater, the Cleveland Public Theater, the Ohio theater, State theater all world class theaters. The Westside Market which is over 200 yrs old and huge with multiethnic food, the House of Blues, the Agora, Severance Hall, Jacobs Pavillion at Nautica, Cain Park, Music Box Supper Club, the Grog Shop and Maltzs Performing Arts Theater, Beachland Ballroom and many more. The Cleveland Zoo is on westside of Cleveland. There's the Improv Comedy Club and Hilarities 4th Street Comedy Club and lots of multiethnic restaurants and the Flats. There's the Horseshoe Casino downtown in Cleveland. So there is plenty to do. There's Edgewater Park on Lake Erie, the black river for boating and kayaking, Cuyahoga National park and the Metro Parks for golfing and hiking and fishing. Yes the winters are long but there are skating rinks and sledding and cross country skiing in the parks and plenty of concerts going on. So kudos for Cleveland. Tired of hearing Cleveland getting bashed.
We decided to do a road trip this summer. Doing 4 nights in Cleveland. Looks like a cool place to hang out.
