I wasn't a funk fan - until I heard this.
You probably liked it beacause it is a vamp.. that means only one chord along the track. Vamps are great for practicong but they are also a hyponotic listening experience.. you can lose yourself and drown happily into a vamp. There are more tracks like this in YT. Look for Catfish Blues backing tracks for example.
