Leave tailgate down when doing tug test..probably will be ok but ..just in case

When hitching,should the front wheel chock be removed when testing a secure hook up (truck in forward motion)?

Either way works. Less stress on the brakes if you leave it in place just be sure to go to neutral to let the rig back off it, then into park.
