- Whinlatter is a stone's throw from Keswick in the Lake District, and it's home to the red grade Altura MTB trail. In this video I'm going to be riding More Adrenaline Please, which is part of the descent on the trail's South Loop.

Rad bit of riding dude
wow nice ride! keep it up 🚵♂️🚵♂️ 🤘 👌
Thanks, man.
Nice one mate... Sweet little flow trail that. The UK does do "trail centers" very well... :D
Cheers. Yeah, we've got some cracking trails. Got some tough ones, too. I was at Gisburn this week and the climbs are pretty technical, and relentless.
Another great video! That descent looks amazing! Some actual flow!! I can only imagine it after a recent ride to Gisburn! Haha
Cheers, man. It's great. The final descent from the north loop flows, too. Loads of fun.
Nice one dude. Another wee gem. Was at Whinlatter on Sat, hella busy. Keep up the good work. 🤙🏴
Cheers, man. Trust you had a good ride?
Meant for Descent yeah. Sure did. Managed to get a wee bit air on the Alpine run on the North Loop. Rampage here l come. 😎😎
@@trailsfromthedarkside6460 Get in. You'll smash it.
Meant for Descent lolz. Thats what worries me. 🚑🚑😎
This is my local trail centre... This downhill section is my fav
It's great, Jonno. Love it. I've ridden Whinlatter a couple of times now and really enjoyed it. Stayed in Borrowdale a couple of years ago and rode the Borrowdale Bash and a loop around Skiddaw. Just so much to ride over there.
@@MeantforDescent I've only been biking since May this year and only been a few trail centres. I guess I'm luck to have lots of places on my door step. I went Newcastleton after watching your video from there. Really want to go Glentress before the weather gets bad this year
Glentress is great. I think it's probably the trail centre I've ridden the most. There's a lot to ride in the Tweed Valley. If you can stay for a few days you can hit Inners and the Golfie, too. It's a real MTB community up there; I love it.
Whinlatter's a place I've seen on a lot of CZcams videos, looks like an excellent place to ride, am considering making a visit there at some point would probably looking at overnight stay but this will be into later next year, thanks as always for sharing your well narrated and excellent videos. 😁🚵♂️👍
Thanks Gary. I've stayed at a few campsites in Borrowdale and always had a great time. If you're in the area for a couple of days you could take a look at the Borrowdale Bash, too. It's a route that takes you around Derwent Water, and it has a couple of really fun descents.
@@MeantforDescent Thanks for letting me know Chris, having someone with knowledge of places I havent been is always invaluable, cheers!
Doesn't look particularly technical or any jumps drops. What makes this a red graded trail? Is there something the GoPro isn't showing us?
This is the bottom half of the red south loop. The top half is more technical to ride (it has been upgraded to black due to the worn surface)
The whole route's graded red, with the highest section on the south loop graded black, and this is definitely one of the less technical sections. That said, the lower part of this section is comparatively steep, and at speed it could be argued that it's more risky. Much like climbing, grades are often subjective.
