Yes! My wedding ring was stolen from my hotel room while I was at an amusement park several years ago. Ironic because I thought I would protect it by leaving it in the hotel room. 😏 Now I have several fake wedding rings that I wear depending on the occasion. I wear my real one most of the time but when I am traveling or in a sketchy part of the French Quarter, one of those fake rings is on my finger. Losing my original wedding ring broke my heart. Protect yours so you'll never have to feel that loss. Insurance money can't replace the sentiment.

Real diamonds have a more pure white reflection... Usually people don't know that the moissanite (way better that CZ), have a double reflection and that cause to have more reflection and colors... for people that don't know about diamonds, that looks sparky and better overall, so they choose those over the real ones...
The only thing this prove is that the diamond are worthless and only stupid people waste hundred of dollars when you could purchase a moissanite ring for a fraction of the cost and 99% of the people wouldn't even notice it...

Many new mines were discovered at that time and European financiers feared that the discovery of new mines would increase the supply of the gem and will result in it becoming a semi-precious gem. Hence De Beers, in 1888, became a merged institution (cartel) which controlled most of the production and distribution and perpetuated the illusion of scarcity of diamonds. This illusion helped them in stabilizing the prices of the gem.

Three years later and this ring still looks amazing and I always get compliments. I’ve taken it to the beach, I wash my hands with it, I do dishes, and look after two children. Not one stone has fallen off and the gold still looks really nice. We were actually at Kay yesterday for a cleaning and the jeweler couldn’t even tell without tools. My ring cost 500 alone. Darrell Cassell 🦋 I think it's a gesture of dowry. Marriage is ment to be a onetime event, until after death (or if you have multiple wives.) I think dowries or expensive rings are so it cannot be easily "redone;" they are forms of insurance.
I'm still all in favor of real stones and metals, but a diamond is not necessary. Nor is a great expense. I visited a jewelry store recently and became very open to all natural stones as an option. Created stones can be to, if they're truly liked by the wearer.
The hardness point is what makes a diamond special, I believe; and diamonds come in a rainbow of colors!
I too think it puts on a lot of pressure to men. Unless you are passing down an heirloom, how on earth do you decide on metals, stones, and design? I like the idea of picking a ring out together, but that's after you ask. And what do you ask with? I think.. I'd still love my partner, and want them, even if they proposed with a fake WITH the intention for us to later choose together a ring perfect to my taste. In fact, I'd respect him for it -if that is the intention, of course.
I think I'd also love whatever was chosen for me, regardless, because O live the man who chose it. Yes, pressure's on for men; it's hard to know a woman's taste in jewelry. And what about her ring size? They can be resized... to an extent... depending upon ornamentation.
In one of Shea's videos, they upgrade her ring to celebrate ten years of marriage. I reallllly like this act. Propose with what you can, and upgrade to what you both or what she really wants later. That, I respect so much. At that point, both man and woman have worked for, and earned, a dramatic, expensive display of their marriage. 🦋✨✨

One thing you have to consider when getting a different stone other than diamond (cz, moissanite, morganite, etc) is how hard the stone is. If its soft it will not last as long. It will cloud over time. I chose moissanite due to how hard the stone is!

So you would spend $20,000 on a ring instead of $150 because it'll last longer? You could buy a new fake diamond every year for the rest of your life and still not spend $20,000. I have fake diamonds from Ebay sellers that look exactly like the real thing at $13, in sterling silver. If I buy a new one every year for 50 years, big deal.

Real diamonds are actually not rare at all but these jewelry companies make you believe they are and upcharge people sooo much. De beers are scam artists. Once you buy a diamond ring it’s incredibly hard to make anywhere near what you paid for it, so in the end it’s not a good investment. Granted most people aren’t trying to resale their rings, but there are many other gems and crystals that are cheaper and worth way more! Anyways I loved this video, it was very different and goes to show the average person would never know! I like the idea of buying a cheap everyday ring to wear ♥️

Actually the larger the stone, the higher the investment. We have customers who buy 4ct diamonds from us, with the value sky rocketing in no time. Whereas a simple .50ct doesn’t really go up in price a whole lot. It’s no different than a high quality ruby or emerald, with the value going up in price. The size of these stones are a lot easier to sell typically through a jeweller in years to come.

In addition, the fake diamond rings are better quality than the majority of the real diamond rings that people wear, which have inclusions and faults. Why not get yourself a man-made diamond ring that is absolutely flawless compared to a so-called real diamond ring that has all kinds of inclusions and doesn't refract the light properly.

Another great comparison is Moissanite to Diamonds. So many people are choosing them due to their durability, cost, eco-friendliness, and overall gorgeousness (they sparkle more than diamonds). Great video! I would love to see more comparison videos for clothing, shoes, etc :)

Yes I've heard that before too!!! I haven't seen one in person I don't think! But yes, these comparison videos are fun!

I have one. It’s beautiful. They’re synthesized but were originally found in rocks from space. They also have a higher light refraction index than diamonds.

I LOVE moissanite! Way better than diamonds visually, equally as sturdy, conflict-free, and makes your wallet feel 10x better.

Hey Shea, since you recommended TIGER GEMS I bought a ring, bracelet and earrings. It’s such a BAD QUALITY! The gold ring arrived and had black spots on it. Everything looks like plastic! Would like to post a photo of it so others can see how terrible it is and save their money!

I've got a Carat of London 1 solitaire diamond simulant engagement ring. And it looks totally real, people often admire it and at a glance no-one would know the difference. Great video! 😄

I bought an "engagement" ring off of Amazon just because I thought it was so beautiful it was $12 ans everytime I wore it people thought it was real and would always say "What ever man gave you that ring must really love you!" It's a CZ stone and its stainless steel so it doesn't turn my finger green.....even if a man bought it for me i would'nt even care that it was $12 that way I don't have to freak out too much about losing a $1,000+ ring

She probably doesn't know anything about moissanite or she would be wearing one instead of diamond
