Good on you for just doing what you want with yarn and patterns, eg the pink jumper. It's really good to have someone who is so productive be realistic about their choices.
I'm tired of letting my expectations get in the way, you know? It feels good to allow myself to use my hobby for me.
That shawl was stunning! But yeah those colour ways were way different!
I thought for sure that the two color ways was intentional! When you have it wrapped around you it looks like an intentional gradient and I really love that
Several beautiful items.😍
Thanks!
Thank you, Jet 🥰
Hi Bailey! I found your channel in december and had lots of fun following your vlogmas. Now i allways have a lot of fun when a new video from you pops up
Also, I can already tell you'll love the finished black sweater. I remember regretting my decision to make a black mohair sweater as soon as I cast it on (because of the dye stains and dark stitches). It was sooo boring (just stockinette), but once I powered through and finished it, I was surprised at how much I loved the finished object. It's been one of my favorite and most worn knits for more than a year now. Goes with everything and works really well as more of an evening or "effortlessly elegant" piece.
🤞🏻 that's what I'm hoping!
The shawl is gorgeous! I may try to make it now ❤
I hate it when indie dyers aren’t “straight “ about things .
I bought briar rose in 2008 and found that same issue with the dye running .. the sweater I made also pilled like crazy.
As much as I love the festival yarns I’m beginning to go toward commercial now as a result of so many burns … short on yardage / different spinning / dye lots not matching/ white undyed spots on the dyed skeins / and uneven dying in solids resulting in streaks or pooling .
I really do enjoy your vlogs !
Thanks! Sad to know that issue with Briar Rose existed that long ago and they haven't changed techniques 🫤
I'm with you on the castonitis plus also being productive. Ive been working on my oldest wip (now almost done) plus I've made 3 toys and started a shawl and a new sweater while I just finished the Mohn cardigan a week ago. It feels weird lol. Like im guilty for starting several new things, but also im not feeling guilty because I've finished things? I dont really know how to feel.
You can craft at whatever rate you want! You're doing great ☺️
I also knit the sweater no. 14 and I do not like the fit of it either. Which is disappointing cuz it was my first sweater. I also knit it with an alpaca yarn so I kinda assumed it was user error on my part but the v-neck part just doesnt sit well on my body. It looks sloppy and it just doesnt sit right. I'm probably going to end up frogging it to make something else :(
It took me a lot of tries to start making sweaters that I loved the fit of. You'll get there! It hurts to frog, but I think you'll be glad when you use the yarn to make something you love instead.
I've already cast on another sweater no. 14 to try to follow the pattern properly this time 🤞🏻
I heard of some folks having to put elastic in the neck band
Thank you for this cozy episode! ❤Can you please share the pattern name of the project bag where you keep your Hermione sweater WIP?
That's TL Yarncrafts' Jessie Stash Basket pattern!
I love your podcast… I enjoy hearing you talk about your projects while I knit on my own. Can you tell me what the name of the pattern you used to make the top you are wearing?
It's a free pattern on Ravelry called Summer Light by Sumi Okada
Hello from Canada, happy to have found you 😊. I'll need to pause the episode til later today, but have to ask...what is the pattern name for the top you are wearing? The neckline is lovely ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
The pattern is called Summer Light by Sumi Okada
