I am very sorry for your loss. If it makes you feel better, I lost my dog of 16 years. She was a white American bulldog who was one of the most affectionate dogs I met. We had her put down because her back legs were deteriorating.

So sorry for your loss of Piggy… losing a pet is the worst thing in the world. I lost my dog of 12 years almost 2 years ago and I still haven’t changed my phone background of his picture. It gets a little easier but it’s the hardest thing. My thoughts are with you!!!!

Just remember, you did your best with her, some things, there's nothing you can do about, unfortunately. Idk if you're blaming yourself, but it's very common with grief, especially when it's not due to old age. Ive been there, with the self blame, or just with the feeling that I could have or should have done something more, even when it's not realistic and I did all I could. I just hope this helps even a little.
