Gianluigi Trovesi: Short biographyClarinetist, saxophonist and composer. After the clarinet diploma and studies in harmony, contrapunct and fugue with Maestro Vittorio Fellegara, he began to work in classical music, dance and jazz ensembles. With his Trio and Octet he reached international fame, developing his language from a mixture of jazz with remembrances of various academic and popular musics from Europe, which makes him instantly recognizable and completely original at the same time.
For his artistic activities the Chairman of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, conferred him the honorific title of "Ufficiale della Repubblica Italiana" (2001).
Some of the most important European Jazz orchestras invited him to conduct concerts based on his own compositions: WDR Big Band in Koln, to record "Dedalo" (2001-2002); International Orchestra in Guimarães (Portugal, 2003); Bergen Big Band (Norway, 2004). Barga Jazz Festival, specialized in arrangements for jazz orchestra, dedicated a full edition to Trovesi and his music (2001).
He performed in Europe, Middle East, United States of America, Canada, China, India and Australia, with numerous records and collaborations with important musicians in Italy and abroad.
    Gianni Coscia
Gianni Coscia, accordionist and composer, is considered one of the greatest specialists of the accordion in Europe. After starting as a student of the legendary Gorni Kramer, he cooperated with world class musicians like Gianluigi Trovesi, Richard Galliano, Enrico Rava and many others.
Not many accordionists in Europe have found a way to introduce into the jazz scene an instrument since then associated with popular music. Aside from recording interesting records as lead musician, (in 1985 "Gianni Coscia the other accordion", in 1989 he was second at "Top Jazz" comtest with the album "La briscola") Coscia put his accordion at the service of some of the most important Italian jazzists, but meeting Gianluigi Trovesi and making a duo with him in 1994 looked immediately like something special. In 1994 he released "Radici" ("Roots") with Gianluigi Trovesi. They show up together at Umbria Jazz; the cd is such a success that it gets reprinted 10 times and the duo tours in Denmark, Netherlands, Tunisia, Syria and other countries. Popular and sophisticated music, folk and jazz, all find with the duo Trovesi--Coscia an incubator for super effective synthesis. Four records, published at a regular distance of five years witness the constant artistic growth of the duo, starting from «Radici», released with Egea in 1995, following with «In cerca di cibo» ("Looking for food"), released in 2000, che segna il loro passaggio alla prestigiosa etichetta tedesca Ecm, until the more recent «Round about Weill» (2005), and «Round about Offenbach» (2011), both still for Ecm.
