- Franz Xaver ( 1791-1844 ) was the sixth child and younger surviving son of Wolfgang Amadeus and Constanze Mozart. He was trained by Hummel, Salieri and others, and had his first works published in 1802. After teaching in Lemberg, he lived there as a freelance musician, 1813-38, making a long concert tour, 1819-21. Later he lived in Vienna. He composed a wide range of piano music (concertos, sonatas, etc), some of which looks forward to the piano style of Chopin and Liszt. His output also includes songs and other vocal music. His brother, Carl Thomas (1784-1858), was the Mozarts other surviving son.

Considering how much Beethoven admired the music of Mozart one wonders whether he had the opportunity or inclination to meet Franz Xaver.
Excelente composición, se parece a las primeras composiciones de su padre , el piano remeda los divertimentos de Wolfgang. Hermoso
Cannot be mistaken , absolutely wonderful Mozart , thank you....
Excellent composition !!!
quiet uplifting music, excellent and balanced, with yet a deep emotional after touch:
shows masterly fx ...
Coming originally from Vienna/Austria I am amazed about learning about Franz Xaver Mozart. So ~ I do very much appreciate enriching my knowledge through you! And ~ on on top of it ~ I am very much impressed to hear about the talent of Wolfgang Amadeus's offspring.
Thank you very much for this introduction :o) It will certainly find a place in my collection of FAVORITES! A kind and grateful hello from Canada!
BTW Karin, I am still Canadian though I live in NYC. ,, Radio Canada International has my premiere recording of Mein Liebling, XAVER, etc.,
This sounds like it came out of Wolfgang Mozart's pen in the period of his 17th piano concerto. The interplay between piano and orchestra and the themes are so much from that period.
tuberobotto agree. No1 pays its legacy to dad WA whereas No2 is somehow more Hummel-like, even anticipating Kalkbrenner concertos in selected passages.
J'adore!
I may be wrong, but I think this is just the first movement.
Lovely
Nice ....TY, but for the record, I was the first ! ......
I played the world premiere of mein liebling's Concerto early in my career at QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL in London w/ Neville Dilkes & the English Sinfonia .
Then uncovered & performed various solo pieces. Many interviews & performances followed. Became notorious for "resurrecting" his music.....
How abut Marylene Dosse's marvellous recording on Turnabout? Which has never been reissued sadly in any form by anyone. And the lady may still be alive and teaching, as I wrote to her some years ago about this record.
@@cmclean6475 Pls tell me more about her & XAVER, etc.....
Beautiful piano part: 2:25
Wundervoll, wenn ein solches Talent wie Mozart es war weiter vererbt wird. Gibt es von diesem Stück entsprechende Einspielungen auf CD? Rasmus aus Schweden 😁
Hello! I very like this concert. I wanted to ask you, maybe you have notes of this concert, I really want to play it.
Моцарт гордился бы своим сыном и гены иногда передаются 🌹🌹🌹
Whitch orchestra is playing? Sounds good!
Why don't you read the introduction where it tells you? Symphony Orchestra INSO Lemburg
@@malcolmdale Rude much.
Das ist offensichtlich nur der erste Satz! Schade!
