- The Bauer SLING is Bauer's 2nd coming of the blade with a hole in it. In this video I compare the stick to the Bauer ADV in terms of what is different about this one, as well as share my overall thoughts on the stick with a deeper dive into some of the technical points regarding the stick composition.

Yes, I didn't have to imagine in a game getting my ADV stuck inside of another ADV, because it happened.. At least it was my own teammate and all was well afterwards.
cant you just leave the tape there? also non ADV can get stuck inside ADV :D hockey players huh :D
in one of my games my teamates and an opponets helmets got stuck together
I love my Nexus ADV a lot, my only issue with the sling is that the white/light green colorway on the top of the stick, to me, looks like what an entry level 80 dollar version of the ADV would look like and I just cannot unsee it.
Use other sticks like ccm As4 pros

In my opinion I had the adv and when I would catch passes it would come off the tape further and same with stick handling. So I had to soften up my hands to adjust. The shot feels amazing though

The stick honestly feels amazing the shots feel effortless, stick handling effortless, balance and weight combined makes it almost too light.
Snappers going 420 kmh and clappers 690kmh.
The stick is so good.
And to me it feels way way lighter than the hyperlite and definetely not bottom heavy idk how you felt it was bottom heavy.

It is more bottom heavy than the HyperLite is. 10g lighter throughout the stick for sling. Not a deterrent for ppl who like bottom light sticks. Just a bit heavier if ppl are more sensitive to it

Good review, but it seems everyone else CZcams didn't like the old version of that Bauer stick.
A side by side test with other models would be revealing.

Just testing them out. The True skates are the most customized you can get. For my foot especially it fits me best.

Can you tape like, through the hole, too? So it still looks clean but you can show that you had way too much money to spend on a stick with a hole in it?
No, it’s not really recommended to cut out the part where the hole is, just tape over it. The whole is not for aerodynamics.
@@alexanderschickling4157 no, I know, I don’t mean cut it out, just do like a normal tape job through the hole and then tape the top part through as well. Plus I only do like a half toe anyways, kinda like Jake Debrusk when he was using the ADV so half the hole would show anyways and would look a bit weird. Guess I could use some less opaque tape

Those are the best skates. I test all equipment. To be able to give people accurate reviews I have to wear the equipment many times to assess it and see how it feels....you'll constanly see me switching equipment in videos. That won't mean I prefer them all the time. I much prefer the True skates personally.

I got the sling yesterday and I love it, I haven’t tested any of the others but out of the selection at my store, the sling was by far the most amazing stick.

idk if you felt this, but i feel when im try to do a drag shot like matthews shot, the lie feels different from bauer’s other top of the line sticks and i end up shooting closer to toe of the blade on the shot, which messes up the shot.

What curve do you use
It's p28 on the bauer sling but I think his nexus adv is p92 p28 is what we call the scorers curve 😎 p92 is the most common curve p88 is ok at best but would not recommend go with p28 if you buy any pro stick for sure won't regret it

What'll the Chinese come up with next? The real reason for the hole is to cut down on wind resistance during the slap shot, the same technology used in fly swatter design.
That's not at all the reason behind the hole lol. It is exactly as he described in the video; gives multiple flex points in the blade to create a slingshot effect.
