- Major League Soccer Is Bad for Lionel Messi !? Well, He Did The Worst Damage to European Football !
Much Has Been Said about Lionel Messi Joining Inter Miami & His Magical Goals Skills Assists @ MLS ! But In Reality He Destroyed So Called EUROPE's Top Tier Football Much Easier Ways ! - Sport
Some don't realize that he had over 800 goals and 350 assists before he joined the MLS. Less than 1 year ago he won the World Cup, World Cup MVP and 2nd place in total goals (1 less than Mbappe). Ligue 1 2022-2023 had 16 goals and 16 assists (#10 in goals and #1 in assists) with PSG in 15 matches. Also tied with Kevin De Bruyne and Antoine Griezmann in the top 5 leagues for 1st place in assists. #6 in Europe for Goal contribution (40) in 2022/23, just behind Erling Haaland (61), Kylian Mbappe (49), Kylian Mbappe (49), Vinicius Jr. (44) and Marcus Rashford (41). He hated playing for PSG. 1 of 2 top candidates to win the next Ballon D'or. Nominated for UEFA Player of the year 2022/23. 2022 IFFHS Men's World Best Playmaker. So the MLS didn't get a washed-up player, they got 1 of the best players in the world today. So, it is a lie that he cannot do this in Europe anymore.
He was doing it in Europe only a matter of weeks ago, what are people thinking, I would have loved to have seen him in England and he may well have earnt more money but he clearly isn't there for the money or else he would have took the $500 M a year deal in Saudi.
I actually think he is there because he knows he can make a difference, in 10/15 years from now USA could well be in the top 5 international teams in the world competing for titles and everyone of the players in that future team will have drawn inspiration from Messi, he is putting something back into football and still playing competitive football, MLS style of running off the ball and reading passes will improve in the near future as will the creative passes . There is a lesson to be learnt from all of the greatest players in the world no matter where you play.
Indeed, Messi could join Barca or any top ranked team now with 36 and Im 100% sure he would still be absolutely outstanding and making the team better. Not long ago in 2019 he literally carried a dead Barca to the UCL semis. Messi isnt consider the arguably best goalscorer, dribbler, passer, playmaker of all time for nothing. He also became a great leader and has almost superhuman vision. Messi is the whole package. Give him the captain armband and he gives you the trophy :)
@@hari04364wtf are you taking about? He won the World Cup and he just humiliated Gvardiol one of the best defender at this time. Also he made fun of Netherlands defenders, one of the best defenders in the world. Messi is still there in the top with Mbappe and Halaand but Messi even if is old...he stil got that magic which Halaand doesn't have it.
@@sorinsorin788?? wtf are you writing, can you read? This is literally what I wrote, that Messi is amazing in all aspects
@@m4rkscott i think the main driving force was family and lifestyle. family is huge to messi as which was part of the reason he didn't enjoy his time in paris...his family wasn't happy there and he really didn't want to be there in the first place and everyone knew it
now he's in the "latin american capital of the world" (their words not mine) and is enjoying the peace of being able to not be the fulcrum of an entire society/community
yes messi-mania is definitely a thing but football culture in america is not the same as in europe (and i mean that in a positive way). he actually can go out and enjoy just being a father and husband from time to time
Beautiful Football Is His Habit.

Thank you for making this comparison video
At 3:20 he scored similar goal against Real Madrid in a 2-2 game I guess.. u shud have added that
Thank you so much for this bro.... It's a labor of love and I can see it!
Magical Messi 👽💪🏿 G.O.A.T
Messi has such an unreal talent, which he reigns supreme in any scenario on the planet. The dude is simply the greatest genius in football history! Real and absolute GOAT!
stop using words like planet, we don't live on a wandering star, Earth is flat
One chanel I recently discoverd explained it simpel and beautifull.
Among the young talents in the US that only a few make it to the pro accedemys and from there only about 2% make it eventualy to the MLS.
From these average MLS players a few realy stand out.
Some of them stand out more than others, just like Messi's new team mate Martinez, who got the MVP award for netting +30 in the leauge.
Martinez struggled in the Serie A tho, what puts europes average players at a completly new level.
Yet we are still not at the level of players like Sergio Aguero, who is widely recognized as one of the finest strikers of the Premier League era, who deffinetly was one of the best Prem forwards.
If we than take a look at Argueros national team at the time he was active, we see that he was bechned.
Bechned for a player who is important for the team to win at any day he is fit, the one you would never bench.
That is Messi.

@@user-ir8er1bh4q What you have to remember is that football is a way of life in south America and is the go to sport across the rest of the world other than the States, everywhere you go there are kids playing it, in the streets, on the park even on tennis courts.
In England alone ( not the UK ) there are around 40,000 teams that play on a Saturday and Sunday plus school and academy teams, at least 60% of boys play at some level as kids, we have over 27,000 FA qualified referees and over 30,000 FA qualified coaches and 10s of thousands that are not qualified, in a way half of the fathers in England are like non qualified coaches, so I can only guess what it is like in Brazil and Argentina, it must be mad.
We don't start playing thinking it is going to lead to wealth we play because we love it.
Football IS the greatest game in the world there is no argument about that otherwise it would not be the most played and watched game in the word.
North America hasn't got what most of the world has got because they have their own sports that pretty much only North Americans play in, not totally but pretty much.
What America in particular has got is great athletes, winning mentality, great facilities and no shortage of people willing to invest if they can see a profit margin. Because of this it may well be possible that football ( soccer ) could become the go to sport in the future if handled well and if that happens I could see a MLS 1 , MLS 2 , MLS 3, and a MLS 4 with7 or 8 tiers under them with thousands of teams.
Simply put it it is possible for it to become the biggest and best league in the world where all the best players would want to play and if that happens then no doubt the USA men's national side would probably dominate the world. They have the infrastructure the money and the available 1st class athletes to do so but this is the second or even third part of the beginning and it would take time.
This video proves that what he is doing now, he has already done them in Europe time and time again!
Stop hating! Appreciate greatness!
Only Ronaldo clueless fans hate him and simply downplay him. The remaining neutral fans who support other clubs too admire his talent in fact in some PSG games the away fans showed more appreciation towards messi.
@@arvindkugan9667 psg messi was dreadful. But miami messi is class
@@devoeditz1True, but it really shows that coaching and environment affects performance. Even other talented players need better environment to play to their full potential.

Did you watch Messi in Psg. Did you see his goals and assists?
He was doing it in his 20’s yea but he wasn’t like that at PSG an they only in the 4/5th best league in Europe…
I've been watching Messi goals for 20 years and it never gets old
I don't know why he got haters tho, he don't trashtalk, he always choose his word not to offend players and even if does offend someone there's always a reason, you see him frustrated sometimes you know that if you play sports. He just wanna play football man.
because ronaldo arrogance makes his fans arrogant too. ronaldo always think himself higher than messi. his fans is messi hater
Don't forget the french especially psg ultras, there is something to do with world cup and false hope of comback 😅
He is too good
Nobody hates Messi except Penaldogs because Messi destroyed their idol many times
U said nothing clown xD u just admitted he indeed trashtalk and is frustrating, reasons dont matter
Messi got offers from Barcelona and other European clubs, and the highest offer any sport player can have from Saudi Al Hilal. He just selected MLS and it was smart decision because Europe won’t add anything new to his career as he completed everything there, while US is a new challenge because he is in a mission of upgrading football level there and making the impossible of leading the weakest team to victories.
And to do what he love the most and finally again being able to smile while doing it. He truly looks happy playing over there. Sad to loose him in Europe, but good to see where he is going with this.... 500 mil from Saudi, can easily be surpassed by the deal he has with Miami, but I never thought the money was the most important to Messi....
Messi didn't had an offer from Barca, they said that they had to sell at least 8 players to get him, but he didn't wanted that, and he and his family also didn't wanted to go to another country, to adapt another time to a new language, so this was their best option, he can still talk in spanish and also he already knew how is Miami
Its not a challenge coming to America, you could call it a mission to upgrade American football. And tbf the moment he signed the contract he already did. These MLS defenders are no “challenge” to him.
To be the magic man in the football game was embedded in him divinely.
It doesn't matter where he plays.
Messi is just the greatest.
He made world class defenders in Europe like school kids, that's how good he is.
Lorenzo Insigne told the club website: “It’s been very difficult these past couple of weeks… I didn’t expect MLS to be as difficult as it is, and I’m learning every day and trying to adapt to it. “
Same as Rooney, Kaka, others. The League isn’t as easy as some say
Rooney and Kakà were finished as footballers when they came to MLS (they simply had no more their golden age athleticism). Insigne and Bernardeschi are finished players.
So if they do well, it's because MLS is trash, but if they do poorly, they're finished players? It's a no-win situation.@@mrefis9705
Yes, but still unexpected that League isn’t as easy as perceived
@@marshallcampbell125
Marshall, I think you have a good point… 🤔🤔🤔
MLS has a good level of athleticism: what average players league lack in technique they have in “stamina”. So for an “old” player (> 35 years) it could be difficult to deal with younger ballers.
Moreover: football is a team sport, so no matter how good you are as a singular player, if you also score a brace, but your team concedes 3 goals, you lose! And maybe you are even exhausted after running 90 minutes to help out the defense.
(Think about Ibrahimovic at Galaxy. He was the best player in the league ([“by far”, Zlatan said] but his teammates were awful - expecially in defense! 😱🙈🙀!!!)
Messi is not alone in Miami (Busquets & Alba and Callender [!] help him), instead Insigne in Toronto is quite “alone”. Bernardeschi is more a competitor to him than a help.
Watching these kinds of videos makes me so sad. Wish he was back at barca, and miss those times so much. If anything, I’m glad he is happy again, and smiling more.
Camp Nou .... those were the days indeed.....
a lot of people that have never watched football, those people that only got into the scene because of the hype Messi is giving the MLS, are saying that the MLS defenders are bad and that Messi can't do it in Europe 🤣🤣🤣. they don't even know that Messi already conquered Europe for 2 decades and he already destroyed world class defenders again and again. it's just laughable.
But the facts that MLS is bad and that Messi can do it in Europe aren’t mutually exclusive😂 I see americans trynna say that Messi can do it in europe therefore MLS isn’t bad. Could Messi still be top in Europe? Yes. Is MLS shitty? Yes. And I aint really hating bro its just like you gringos watching european basketball. Its pain.

Messi has being doing this since he was 10 years old, even the best teams in the best leagues don't know what to do to stop him. The MLS is growing nicely and will do nothing but raise their game because of the presence of Messi, young kids in the States will try to replicate him and America will reap the benefits for years to come, you already have winning mentality now you have the chance to learn from the best that has ever been.

I kind of feel sorry for the poor defenders and goalies in the MLS, the best in Europe couldn't stop him so what chance have they got 🤷🫣😂🤣😂🤣
I think you missed the point of the video entirely... Messi did worse to "the best in Europe." The level of the MLS is nowhere near as bad as you European snobs make it out to be.

And Messi scored 27 goals against premier league big six clubs in champion league, like Manchester City and Arsenal are the biggest victims

Messi never changed in fact some of his moves go back to when he was a child and the only thing that's changed is his speed. He can't run as long and as fast as he used to but other than that MLS got the real Mccoy. His vision and reading of the game got even better by the way which is insane because he was already good.
Those saying MLS is bad are Madrid fans destroyed by messi
Indeed. People easily forget the world cup was just a couple months back
Messi is a unicorn among stallions, here and in Europe for last 20 yrs. One very overlooked Messi trait is he doesn't panic under pressure, which on-fire Taylor, Cremaschi are beginning to learn (but NOT Gomez, OMG!!). With Messi's presence, MLS players/youth will learn, be inspired. Next 3-5 years will see jump in US talent. Also Inter is doing well bc Busquets, Alba are shoring up sloppy D. Without them, IM would look like a VERY bad version of Argentina's one-man-team of 2014.
Very beautiful and accurate video
Ya absolutely..Europe n countries suffered too with Messi magic

Were those goals rigged too? Or its just you who cant understand greatness
Any league where Messi plays seems easy, because he makes everything easy.
The thing is here that he could have gone back to Barcelona and there was another offer from an English team. So two first tier teams in football wanted him because he's not declining in skills and he's more experience now as a playmaker. He has done things like that for 20 years to the best defensive teams in the planet. MLS is not a bad league, he's just too good for any league.
Oh my god. Can messi perform top in Europe? Yes. Can Messi perform top in MLS. Yes. These two facts dont equate to MLS being good. You’re saying that just because Messi can beat a 30 year old man in a 1vs1 and he can beat a 5 year old kid. Then the 5 year old is on the same level as the 30. How do you conclude that? MLS is embarrasing and I aint even hatin
Messi destroyed all those big club’s in Europe even worse then what he does in MLS

Okey I believed you guys already talk about his extraordinary talent, reputation and how he destroyed most of the club and players at Europe just for them to get the title and recognition. But one more thing for sure how those ungrateful people stealing money from the club and trying to reduce his income and make him leave the club. While at other club they were trying be little him and put the blame on him for every mistake that occurred.
Because every where in the world you will find people that is selfish and ungrateful.
Why does it feel like the crowds were more hype in the MLS? I’m assuming it’s just more audio dampening in the European broadcasts but damn do his mls goals feel more exciting

Facing Mourinho’s Real Madrid, Klopp’s Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Juventus… is not like playing against Cincinnati. Comparing what Messi did in Europe (Liga/Champions’ League), in his prime, to what is doing now in MLS, at 36, is simply nonsense.
Of course Lio can still give moments of pure art on the pitch (Cruz Azul, Dallas, Nashville), but the difficulty level of the opponents is too low to be compared.

And to be honest, Lio was the best player in the last world cup, but he wasn’t alone - “Scaloneta” had great players.
Riquelme (wonderful N.10, by the way) already knows that modern football is played with more and more speed - exactly what Messi did for 20 years.
I remember when Juan Roman got benched after the first half in 2006 world cup quarter finals (🙄?) against Germany. Peckerman made that mistake because He considered Riqielme too slow. A stunning Argentine was eliminated at penalties by an inferior Germany…
