Allie!!! The really cool thing about this line is that an occupational therapist (OT) helped design the packaging to make it more easily accessible for people to open who have physical disabilities! Selena did this as she struggles sometimes due to her lupus. I just think it’s so neat (I’m an OT as well) and I’m also an aromatherapy girlie so I am all about it. Thanks for your thoughts!
I do struggle with the body lotion tho. I think it’s really hard to get out (many reviews agree with this point aswell)
Yes! As a disabled person, I find myself using mostly rare beauty products bc of the ease of opening and use. You can tell the difference for sure. It also seems like the formulas are more gentle as well which is nice.

I have Cyclic vomiting syndrome ( a neurological condition that causes really severe vomiting episodes along with neurological symptoms) so i got the aromatherapy pen for when im nauseous but i dont want to take my nausea medicine because of the side affects, and ive really been enjoying it! I just put a little behind each ear and under my chin and it really does help🙌

I know not as enjoyable as the aroma therapy pen but if you are in a pinch, smelling alcohol swabs/wipes can help with nausea 😊

I think this makes a ton of sense for Selena, with her positive vibes and mental health focus. I LOVE that she went toward comfort and aromatherapy rather than skincare
Purchased the hand cream , tried it on hubby, using the closed top of the bottle to massage his arthritic hands, he enjoyed it thoroughly, and even liked the smell. Not too strong
The aromatherapy gel and the hand lotion seem really innovative to me. As a disabled person, I personally love the brand and it’s usability! If I had to guess, I bet the fragrance is meant to be gentle or non-irritating since the whole brand is disability/illness friendly. But I agree, a non scented option could be great to take that aspect further. Great review!
Honestly I’m not surprised she did a body line because with Lupus we (I have Lupus as well) often are constantly trying to destress our bodies, we have issues with our hands and our bodies in general so I think these selection of body care products make sense. Im excited to try it out for myself assuming I can get my hands on it.

I love the new vibe of the video. It felt very personal, like we were friends on a video chat. It was great to see different parts of your house and see how you like to decorate. It was a great way to spend an evening when I couldn't sleep. Also, a lot of people use a body mist as a freshen up. I like having one, it comes in handy.

I think the scent is beautiful. I also think the lotion would pair nicely with a lot of different perfumes. The mist is gorgeous when sprayed on damp skin fresh out of the shower.

I love the shape of it. I watched Johnny Ross and saw how it could be used for massaging your hand the shape of the bottle for the handcream, and I love that as I had arthritis in my hands.

2) I am fully in agreement that a scent-free version would be SO appreciated. I avoid fragrance wherever possible and especially if it lingers, it will only clash with anything else going on.
3) On the scent train of thought, though, I appreciate the obvious thought that went behind this one. I have some knowledge of essential oils, and she obviously worked hard with oils and scents that would contribute to feelings of COMFORT and holistic health. Which is her whole vibe for her brand. So I appreciate that very much. Haven’t smelled it myself, but just am recognizing some key ingredients that are well-known for their benefits

I bought the body lotion because I like to keep one with fragrance on hand when I want to smell fresh without needing a full perfume. I haven’t found it to be too overpowering wearing it throughout the day so far. That said, I totally agree that having a fragrance free option would be amazing. I would use that all the time because the formula is great. I don’t get that weird feeling when I get dressed.

I feel like this line was intended as more of an aromatherapy experience vs. a body care line. Not that the products themselves are not good, but it feels like they developed different vehicles in order to deliver the scent. It gives people options as far as how they want to wear the scent.
Also... I love your new editing style! When you were giving your summary of the products at the end and had cut backs in the video to when you were trying the products, it was a small thing but made it really enjoyable to watch. I appreciate quality over quantity so can't wait to see more!

I was so curious about this when I saw it launch and think I’m going to pass for now based on the scent, but I’d definitely get some items if more scents come out…like a good vanilla or fragrance free like you said. The hand cream and body lotion are the two items I’m most interested in. I also love the packaging and how cohesive the whole line is!! I’d love for them to come out with a body butter or oil that is really moisturizing, but not greasy.

I love this new style of video for you Allie and I love that Tylan is part of it even if he's just behind the camera talking. I really want to get the Rare Beauty body lotion and hand cream. The other 2 products just aren't for me. I'm a candle lover but I prefer not to buy just one item from a brand website so I most likely won't get that one.
You mentioned the packaging it’s designed that way because it has ergonomic design to make it easy on the joints when you are opening it. She designed it that way because she has a form of lupus that attacks the nervous system and in some cases it can cause chronic arthritic pain. My sister in law has lupus and struggles finding things that are gentle on her joints so for that reason alone I support this line.
That's not true. That was a rumor and Rare Beauty said its not true.

@jocelynn19871 yeah Selena does have lupus, but they have said that they didn't design any of the packaging because of it. If they had, it wouldn't be a bunch of balls on the caps since round objects are the hardest for ppl with arthritis/gripping problems to use.

Thank you for your review! I finally got in Sephora last weekend and smelled these. I didn’t love the fragrance. I’m more of a floral or gourmand scent girlie. This smelled kind of musky to me. Packaging is adorable though!

I love this format, I love the color system, brilliant! Im also very proud of you for posting for 3 days a week for so long, but also proud you are cutting back to bring a different vibe to your channel! The one thing that concerned me with this line is the packaging. I found it to look very bulky and would be very difficult to get product out especially if you have arthritis. Like her other products, she was mindful of that, having Lupus. If anyone has tried this line, and you have a condition that makes it hard to open or squeeze products. Did you find this difficult to use? I do want that candle and I think I would actually really enjoy the gel, reading it helps with nausea. Loved seeing you and Tylan interact and his options on the scents on a mans point of view. XOXO ❤️ 😘

I didn’t know there was a candle!!! I picked the lotion up at sephora and I agree that I like the scent, but more as a home scent.
I agree on the scents. For someone like me who has asthma I would have preferred a fragrance free body/hand lotion addition to the line. I do occasionally like have a fragrance that I know is light that I can handle.
I get bad headaches and I bought this pen, and I love it, seems to help if I put it on my temples right at the onset of a headache, I've always tried to us peppermint oil on my temples when staying with a headache, this from rare beauty seems to work so much better, and easier to have in my purse I don't have to worry about oil spilling.

Johnny Ross gave an amazing in depth description of this line in the very beginning of his Beautiful and Bothered podcast (episode 49). Selena Gomez brought in a physical therapist from France to help with packaging design. So yes the hand cream container can be used to massage your palms but because of her having Lupis and it’s ability to cause inflammation in tissues and joints, all her packaging is designed to be easy to open and close. Thats why her makeup also has a lot of the larger round shapes.
I love the addition of Tylan! He's probably a beauty guru by now too! It would be so fun to see him on camera. Maybe to review some mens lines- skincare, cologne etc? I know your audience is probably all female but we buy gifts for men in our lives.
