    • @magnafire1
      @magnafire1 Před 4 lety +17

      @@arunkumarchandrasekaran2653 I'm not saying Magnus is lower than the others. I'm just saying he knows how to win tournaments by draws and winning the ones he needs to win. Nothing wrong with that, but he is not much better than Ding or Fabi. Carlsen isn't even ahead of ding in classical games, so it goes to show Dings strength and Fabi can easily become the next champ also but he pushes for wins when he should settle for draws like Magnus. Magnus is just more methodical in winning tournaments and there isn't nothing wrong with that because there is money on the line, but that doesn't take away from what I said. I think Kasporov or Fisher (if he had engine study help not even close to be touched) in their prime were better than Magnus. It's controversial. Stats don't always tell the truth. Ask Barry Bonds. Lol. Not saying Magnus cheats either. He is a very smart guy, but no way am I not calling him the draw king even if he wins 10 more years.

      @@reproducingcarrot4263 It's White's turn to move, and as the poster said, killing the pawn with his queen at g7 will checkmate if not for the black queen so taking rook to g1 will attack the queen. Black has 2 choices, either move his king to a better position by sacrificing his queen, which would make him have zero defense with pawns only, or move the queen and get checkmated in 1 move. It is very good to see an excellent game of chess, as it is excellent to see the moment when Dubov recognizes that he has lost and Dubov surrenders. I love Dubov's creative game and I like to see when a player recognizes sportingly that he has lost 07:08. Knowing how to win is genius, but knowing how to recognize that one has lost in sport is an excellent lesson in humanity. Carlsen's attitude after the game, talking with Dubov, is also very sporty. It is very good to see this sportsmanship in chess, as in any game.
