no way they fixed that in 15 mins. As in they saw SS's video, got a group together, identified the problem bit in the code, fixed it, tested the fix, and deployed it.....nah
they didn't, Joe reported it the day before when he spotted it and told faux etc about it, who all called him insane(which ofc he wasn't), NO WAY did someone have 800m+/day in FSW to swap to 07 without bug abuse.

@@stefbtw355 My guy this was not a dupe, it was using the clan chest on official servers and putting gold into the chest, then they collect the gold on FSW and swap it or sell it, in return they then took all the 07 gold they got from swapping and sold it for real money. Keeping anything when you are bug abusing especially on a major level like that is dumb. They will ban your account and any account that was logged in from that device/IP.
It's weird seeing Skill Specs being the hero of a Pugger video, rather than the laughing stock of a PKer's video :D
Skills Specs is a great guy imo, not everyone would be willing to play a persona like that :D
Don't play alot of Runescape nowadays. But it's great to hear and see that the community is still trying to come together and reduce these exploits, just for someone else to "profit" off it it... a sad world we live in.

There is definetly still a dupe in play atm. Ali Morrisanes rune shop had day 2 and still has multiple hundred k bloods/souls ect someone is duping them and selling them there because the price doesn't go down. It's impossible they came from anywhere legit. I think it must be a glitch in the shop interface otherwise why not flood the Ge too. It's like 1b gp runes per world. I've also seen this happen on world 45 like a year ago.
We need more people talking about this. Someone needs to investigate
Yep, seeing his store with almost 100k runes on some worlds when I was hopping and buying nats/laws early on... Someone was duping runes somehow

You can’t really say it’s an old game with a lot of bugs when both the FSW and the clan bank are completely new. Another massive oversight by Jagex unfortunately
at least it got resolved very quickly when it got reported - always nice, but you are right to be honest. Seems like a pretty big oversight
The game was built on Java… the game engine is old and hard to program for.
I mean im definitely not a fan of jagex. However i will give them some slack here. When you have games as massive as this these that are also this customizable. You're not going to remember everything thats going to get effected. I mean none of us would so we shouldn't expect perfection from them.

I found a dupe glitch 2 years ago..I was able to dupe nightmare staffs in a f2p pvp world. I only duped 2 then I got in touch with a j mod and got the bug patched in 30 minutes of finding it. To this day I dwell on it sometimes haha because I know I would of made 1000s of pounds.

I felt like I didn't want to risk my account at the time but a day after I got it patched I was thinking I could of probably got away with duping a bills worth of staffs a week and just sold it for like £300 but oh well.
@@mrball5766 do you remember how the dupe worked? I remember right after eoc I found an item that when noted wouldn’t be dropped for a pker when you got killed with it. Always wondered what more could have been done with that info haha
And here I thought it was the massive agility pyramid bot farm on the agility hiscores. Even that couldn't account for this much gp.

It's really not even a bug. They just forgot to exclude fresh start worlds from accessing the clan coffer
How is that not a bug? Would've been the same as if they allowed clan coffer on Quest speedrun worlds (I tested day 1 and it was disabled there)

In this case, assuming no additional exception was created for Fresh Start Worlds (or all non-main game worlds in general), then the code is functioning exactly as expected, that is, a player who has the required minimum clan rank to access the coffer can access the coffer.

I'm Glad this was fixed, I started FSW when the rate i seen at ge was 1:7, in 2 days it went to 1:3. something seemed a lil sus

Respect to skillspecs, he really cares about the game man. This man has lost billions upon billions of gp many times and the first thing he thinks of is oh no this is game breaking I better tell jagex not "oh I could make mad money off swapping this"
FSW seems like a great idea at face value for getting new players in. But it'll take what, a month at most maybe, for experienced players to completely overwhelm the economy again? How often are they going to be doing these new server things?
I’m assuming they’ll assess the longevity of it after the 6 months before they add the rotation into main worlds, but OSRS fresh server rotations on 6 months really do not give anyone any time to accomplish anything significant unless they’re no lifing it

he's all good, he reported it as soon as he noticed, half a day before skill specs(when faux's stream called him crazy etc), Joe/369 was on the front lines of swapping and handling gp during the first 2 weeks.

On my way to do a kalphite task on my UIM - as i go to shanty at shanty pass ive noticed in the span of about 5 minutes about 10 bots in full desert robes around lvl 25 logging in for about 5seconds and trading with shanty. the weird thing is as a uim i can still see what they are buying. they are buying all the waterskins in the shop and immediately logging out/banking. 94 marim 176 is one of the usernames. very interesting way of making money on a bot farm

that was defenitly a bad one. on rs3 players was told that swapping is a banable offence on fresh start worlds. but you was allowed to have an alt account.

Tip off: currently doing agility pyramid on my ironman to make a bit of cash while training agility and am seeing 7 accounts in my world all with similar names and stats. Name are all "12 abc 1234" or some variation of numbers then letters then numbers. Some have 90+ agility while others have in the 60s.
Agility pymird is slow training so if some are 90+ then that is ALOT of gold brought into the game.

fresh start world concepts sharing the same server space as existing servers has so many potential exploits, im surprised they dont have a checklist to check for wealth transfer events prior to launching them.

I just have a question for runescape players. Just returned after about 6 - 7 years since I played. Hitting up old skilling places and NO ONE talks. It used to be everyone chatted to pass the time and all. Someone getting a level resulted in "congrats" from 100% of people there. Now 0% of people will talk no matter how you try to prompt them... Is the entire game just bots now? Like not even half or 3 quarters... NO ONE talks.

Most of runewatch is "not returning items" or "not splitting" and neither of those are even close to scams.
Sure it's scummy, but in the game rules it's fair. If you hand over an item, it's no longer yours, and if you don't split in a raid well, the drop rolled in your favor. It's your drop.

I don't get how they can ban the GP. A lot of it was probably sold via swappers and swapping is not banned
they probbably can track where the gold was traded and ban associated accounts, still won't clear all smuggled gp but probably majority
@@lencas112 no but they can't ban the accounts that the gold got swapped to since they're not breaking the rules. Only the smuggler should be punished, which makes it impossible to remove the gold

There is currently an Ecu key bot farm running on almost every world with 2 bots per world. All wearing a mith scim, holy symbol, zamorak monk top, and bandos robe legs. All around 50ish combat.

What we did was made clan in freshworld, made one member transfer to real world now clan chest was linked to eachother and we could dump gp from mains.
Havent seen much on how the rs3 fsw bug worked.
Its funny how both fsw points were totally defeated on launch haha

I have seen many bots doing the Varrock agility course and they all had 61 thieving.
All other stats looked like they had no XP in them.
Respect to the smorc man knowing how often he's dropped for bank loot he coulda easily took advantage.

Hey, I was actually in his friends chat early on. He made claims that his "clan" was farming revs. And was swapping at a much lower rate so that he can gain "trust". I mean I believed it, but he was the only guy in the chat swapping.
The economy is already scuffed. Sucks considering that was a big part of why a lot of people were playing fsws.

Wow this is BS, i sold bonds for basically nothing, while people are trading for glitch gold. The swapping was insane to allow to begin with. I regret spending anything on FSW now.

I'm really happy these guys were stopped, I joined the fresh start because when I tried to play osrs around a year ago, it was so inflated that I was overwhelmed and just ended up stopping. I'm really happy the fresh world's exist because its giving me a way to learn with others and sometimes get help from vets who are just having fun
I would really suggest playing as an iron man, it is the best experience in osrs unless you are a pker.

@@brokenpianotunes1923 OSRS have an excellent wiki, you don't really need much prior experience. Just take it slow and learn on wiki, everything in the game can be found there.

just saw a video on super rare items on rs3, hero items, seems like many rs3 farms you have seen does activities with ability to obtain them
So I've been seeing A LOT of "suspicious" accounts that are doing Abyss runecrafting. All medium lvl accounts with random stats, and insane runecrafting xp (119ish and runecrafting cape). Worth looking into? Just hop to edgeville and you'll see a few in no time!
Instead of swapping they should have just bought high-tier items in FSW for extremely little gold (because gold is worth more on fsw) and just banked them and waited for the 6 month to transfer to main game. Could have kept completely silent and got away with it 100%
