I always wondered why giannis doesn’t play the center spot more. It would allow him to play closer to his strengths as a more traditional big man and use Portis as a stretch 4.
how is that different from this frontcourt with Brook who always stands in the perimeter anyway? They will be losing some spark off the bench if they did that. I agree though that Giannis need to get more on the block and play back to the basket then make the right play from there since bulldozing his way to the basket from the perimeter doesn't work for 48 minutes, need some mixing up.
Also everybody be forgetting about PJ Tucker. He was a pretty vital part of that championship defensive strategy they had too, not just Jrue

Perk said it right, Giannis has to embrace the center role, then Bobbi comes at power forward. Brook should be out of the roster! Giannis at center will make play better drop coverage, and be a better player maker. Jokic and Embiid play at center, Giannis should do the same!

Let’s keep it a buck tho- all of these problems for the Bucks didn’t suddenly arrive when Doc Rivers took the job. The team had been playing well below their expectations from the beginning; so yes, Doc has to take blame for this, but this current roster construction was bad from the get go. And if the Bucks bounce early, I’d imagine some changes in the FO, along with Doc Rivers as well.

Giannis needs to embrace the role that Chris Bosh selflessly took on the Heat after losing to the Mavs for the team to win back to back championships. Bosh moved to the 5 and created spacing nightmares for teams. The only difference is that Bosh could consistently knock down the outside shot. Even without the outside shot, Giannis can still create havoc being at the 5 and it allows for better defensive matchups. Lopez would be better off the bench at this point.
