  • Hopper life is the best life 🤷🏻‍♂️.
    Teamed up with the guys from GO Industrial to put the brand new Graco FinishPro GX19 to the test. Working my through the Graco range, starting at my very first LTS19, to the GX19 stand, FinishPro II 595PC Air-Assisted Airless to now the next generation of GX19. I'm blown away by the weight and practicality of this airless sprayer. Even at the lowest of pressures, it holds and doesn't pulsate. I tried to show tips tailing in the clip, but the pump just handles low pressure spraying so well.
    If you're looking for an in-and-out sprayer that can handle spraying walls, ceilings and woodwork, it's definitely the way to go. Contractors and pro DIYers will be stoked with this one. Checkout the links below for the FinishPro GX19. Use code 'PBJ' on the GO site and you'll score an extra FFLP308 Fine Finish Low Pressure tip like I've used in the video.

    Hey Josh! Just subscribed! Is there anything you shouldn’t try to paint with this sprayer setup? Or any paint types it isn’t good for? Assuming you can swap out a tip or two to broaden what can be painted and with what? Keep laying it down!

    Hi Josh, I have a similar sprayer just called a GX19 I can't seem find much at all about them on the internet there is some limited info on the graco website though. I was just wondering if you are familiar with this sprayer . I purchased it brand new off trademe here in new zealand but haven't used it yet other than pumping out the fluid it came with and spraying water through it so as to get a bit familiar with it, yep filled it with pump armour as well.
    It sees to have higher capability than the GXFF and the Finish Pro GX19. It comes with a bigger diameter 15m hose diameter and an sg3 gun etc . Just wondering if you now anything about them . Also had a look on the go industrial website but not there either . Thanks
    Cheer s
    Tony

    • @paintingbyjosh
      @paintingbyjosh  Před 3 lety

      Hey Tony, just replied to your last comment man. As long as you're thoroughly flushing the unit and storing with Pump Armour - TSL isn't needed!

  • @mcr9b6
    @mcr9b6 Před 3 lety +2

    Hi Josh, I was wondering if the GX19 you have behind you requires throat seal. I have the same sprayer but haven't used it yet so want to make sure either way before run the risk of wrecking it
    Appreciate any advice you can give . Thanks very much and keep up the great videos cheers

    • @paintingbyjosh
      @paintingbyjosh  Před 3 lety +2

      Hey mate! TSL is definitely required with any of the Endurance Piston Pump units (so your 190PC and upwards). The GX19 use a Graco ProXChange piston pump, which is designed differently to the Endurance Pumps. It's a sealed design and has a wiper seal internally which doesn't require TSL to keep your piston lubricated. Won't wreck it, make sure it's well flushed and you'll be sweet! 🙌🏼

    Would you also recommend buying a different gun? I intend to do ceilings and woodwork. Cheers

      Hi! Yeah it's an awesome little machine if your going to use only once a week but if not I would step it up to a 190pc

  • @theodorepollock4019

    Can this sprayer handle exterior paint? I mostly do smaller jobs, but I want a good quality unit. It is hard to find a small sprayer that is professional quality. I already killed the "home depot" version of a graco handheld sprayer and I do not want to go that route again. I am 100% fine with this unit having lower throughput compared to something like a 390, but I need to know if it CAN handle exterior paints. So far I have seen conflicting information regarding it's ability to handle various types of paints.

    Hey Josh, I'm renovating my home. Just wondering whether to get a 390 and buy a hopper for it for trim work or to buy this gx19 and use it for everything internal. What is the easiest to use with the best finish? Thanks mate!

    I recently purchased a Graco GX19 (stand version) and cannot for the life of me stop tailing. Tried low pressure, mid pressure, high pressure, 410 / 312 / 210 tips and all the same result. Cannot paint anything without it turning to absolute shit with sagging on trims and tails and sagging on doors. Spent a fortune on paint and sanded back 2 x doors now 2 x times and keep getting same result when I try again. First coat on trims is ruined with sagging so sand the sagging and try again and get same result. Done all the testing against paper / MDF sheets and cannot stop the tailing. I'm beyond frustrated as I've spent over $1300 on machine and $400 on paint and 2 x rooms I've done are completely fucked. There's is some glass gloss finish in spots along with tail makes / sagging marks and then low gloss areas. As mentioned I'm beyond frustrated as the machines look so easy to use.

      Sorry to hear. I bought a Graco TruCoat 360 (handheld from Home Depot) and had the same problem trying to do fine finish work (e.g. doors). Ended up returning it for a Fuji Q5 HVLP. I have yet to try it, as I need to do the same sanding you did.
