- Inspired by some other CZcamsrs, I thought I make a list of practically every Station ID/News Open from each TV Market in the United States from Smallest to Largest.
I do not own the content featured in this video. All credit goes to their respective users. No Copyright Infringement Intended.
The actual Year of the ID may not be entirely accurate.
Sources for most of the videos featured can be seen here: • TV Station IDs - Zábava
Well done! Unlike many others, this had clear video and (for the most part) even sound - no soft audio followed by one that blasts. Please do another!
Remarkable work! This must've taken you days. Thanks for sharing!
Some minor corrections (uploading this to begin with was a mess):
1:48 Apologies for the recording, the actual video didn't freeze up like that.
5:16 Yuma, AZ is supposed to be ranked (166/210), not (165/210)
10:49 Although that particular PBS Kids bumper did debut in 2013, the NEPM logo was changed in 2020.
17:32 It's supposed to say "WVLT", not "WLVT".
21:56 Nashville, TN is supposed to be ranked (29/210), not (30/210).
25:07 KYW-TV is affiliated with CBS, not NBC (though ironically the station was a former affiliate of NBC until 1995).
20:19 that tune tickles my brain in *just* the right way 😊
21:08 My local NBC affiliate
21:27 WKRC (CBS) Cincinnati "Local 12", another Sinclair station, uses this exact music and graphics package
WBKB call letters were on 2 Chicago stations WBBM and WLS.
Balaban and Katz Broadcasting!
5:40 The ident for my local market is a “Going Out of Business sponsored” one. I don’t know how to feel about that…
8:11 WTVO Rockford (abc)
14:37 WSIL KPOB (abc)
There is a lot of Sinclair stations in here
15:28 my tv market
14:55 my hometown!
Another correction The CW Plus is for American television markets ranked #100 and above by Nielsen Media Research estimates. Not the CW
I'm sorry, I don't understand The CW Plus is just a national feed for the CW in smaller markets, other than that it's just more or less the same network.
13:05 Congrats, you found me!
You should've included the station owners...alot of the graphics packages are based on the same templates. You can really identify the Gray, Hearst, and Scripps stations.
5:45 you found me
Any Latino/Latina Americans from Texas here? I just wanna show support for the Spanish-speaking community.
Amamos a nuestra comunidad de habla hispana.
De un iowana al pueblo latinaamericana
17:32 "KNOXVILLE! KNOXVILLE! KNOXVILLE!!!"
>WIVB Buffalo - We're 4 Buffalo
So you're a station consisting of 4 buffalo? Good to know.
5:36 is that the NBC jingle on a CW ident?
Its a subchannel of the NBC affiliate for that particular market.
Yes
19:57 WPMT Fox 43: Susquehanna Valley TV!
English (EN) - Southeast Asia 🇬🇧
202nd decade & early 203rd decade
Looks like KSTP showed up
Stations still do sign offs?
Some smaller market stations still sign off, and randomly enough WPRI
3:32 what song
Sam Champion used to be on The Weather Channel
You certainly have a lot to say.
24:34 24:45
About 8:35 (WAGM)--how did one TV station become affiliated with two networks.
CBS and Fox run on the same channel, but CBS airs on 8.1, and Fox is 8.2. Many stations with more than one affiliate do this. Probably even in your market. WAGM just markets it as one to save the hassle.
How did multiple affiliates work before digital TV? Did they just cherry pick which shows to air?
@ABCEasyas-- They did the same thing. 8.1 and 8.2 for example are technically different frequencies, so even analog could broadcast both at the same time and TVs could receive the signals.
My tv stations 12:20 22:32
