Great alarm system. My school has an all Notifier addressable system. NFS320 panel, lcd 80? Annunciatior, Nbg 12 lx pulls, fsp851 smoke 💨 detectors, white Spectralert advances both wall and ceiling, (some set to high volume!) along with a few NAC panels I have not looked at in a while. Alarms are set to code 3, and once again, a random mix of low and high volume. Thankfully, the low volume ones have “LO” written in sharpie on them, and the others do not.
And the system before that used to have Wheelock 34Ts, I think the 24 volt version. I do not know anything else about the old system. The only reason I know about it at all is there are two left on the wall un-hooked.
My elementary school had the same exact Space Age alarms on continuous mode.
I always loved the sound of those alarms
Mine are the same:

•Has red and blue strobe
•Has 7002t

That space age horn is actually using a light plate.thats an incandescent bulb notice how it flashes with the March time of the horns If the panel was set on code 3 it would flash 3 time’s with the horns and on continuous/steady it would just stay on.

My high school has those 4901-9805s but they run in continuous, as well as the truealerts in one of the additions.(the other two additions and any truealerts that have replaced a 4901-9805 run code 3)

That alarm is called fci ms2
The light plate started to flash when you actived the HD. Try to with the smoke detectors/ ps and see what happens it has its mind of its own.

A couple of them sound quite bad. You should replace the horns.
They aren't bad, they were getting FWR from the fire lite panel. If they were getting filtered DC (from a Simplex panel for example) it would sound much nicer. Maybe I'll remake the video with some filtered current soon!

Those plates FRY those firelite panel. There’s been many people who had their panels destroyed by those. Be careful
Zachary Fleck new panels have more protection and fuses, these lights are not meant for new panels, thats is why when I put my remote annunciator lights ton the nac it gives a nac fault and stops working temporarily
Zachary Fleck is up to 30VDC. If you haven’t seen how many people have been effected by these light plates you must be under a fire alarm rock. Look it up because I’ve been warned so many times by people who have destroyed their panel
I've gotta agree with Aaron on this one, those AV-32 light plates tend to tear up modern panels. I think it may have something to do with the models that have a Flasher circuit installed... yours doesn't seem to have one, so you should be okay, but I'm wondering if the flasher circuitry puts a great deal of stress on the NAC when it fires, since it doesn't seem like these would be any different than other devices using an incandescent bulb .
In that case, this all seems to add up...I've got a couple devices with 120V incandescent flashers, and when wired in with a mechanical horn there always seems to be some spikes being fed back onto the line when the flasher fires. Take this video for example, the effect becomes extreme right before I cut power: czcams.com/video/NeNIbs6rjfQ/video.html . Older devices like this and the AV-32 likely use a bimetallic flasher, which includes a metal strip that expands and contracts as it is heated to make and break the circuit. The current draw required to achieve this heating effect likely results in the excessive draws we see damaging the panels.

I was a technician who installed/tested these. I don't do that anymore but these are just things I collected over the years. This is an old video. My most recent videos show what I've done to make the system look more so like a real system would. I just like to have fun with it.
