  • Take action! A global layer of plastic trash is the consequence of our disposable economy. Microplastic is everywhere in the environment: in the food we eat, the water we drink, and the air we breathe. Reducing reliance on single-use plastic is an important step toward a healthier planet. Come with us to take a look at a range of solutions for unwrapping our reliance on plastic packaging. Disclaimer: Many raspberry tarts were killed in the making of this film.

Thanks for the thoughtful and thought provoking look at plastic! I won't be looking at the grocery store the same way anymore!

It's definitely disturbing how much single-use plastic we use every day. We need legislation and consumer pressure to get plastic producers to take more responsibility for the waste. But I definitely agree that it's critical to figure out how to use less plastic to begin with.

I live in a state with a bottle bill, and didn't realize until recently that only 11 states have them. Bottle bills work, providing both a cash incentive to recycle - and - automatic pre-sorting of plastic so that the recycling stream isn't clogged with un-recyclable plastic.
