I have been dying to put this video together!!! I am going to show you a variety of sweater upcycles, varying from NO-SEW, to Hand Sew to Machine Sew!
TIP: I highly recommend having your diy Inspo's ready when you go thrifting. This will allow you to look at each sweater, and the relevant details, to see if it's going to work for your project.

Yay, great beginning to 2022! As someone who sewed all the puffed sleeves back in the ‘80s, you need to increase the height of the sleeve cap and the width of the sleeve cap to give it that puff. You can cheat it a bit in what you’ve demonstrated by adding volume just inside the elastic bit with a stiff, ruffled grosgrain ribbon.
Stiff organza, folded in half and sewing into the top of the armscye is a wedding dress trick.

It takes GENIUS to be able to simplify these amazing creations you come up with! Other youtubers say "easy" and then you have to be an expert seamstress and do endless seams and precision cutting all over the place - ugh! THANK YOU ORLY!!!
I purchased 3 cableknit pcs that are like the upcycle "Dicky"... "Shrug"... "Cropped knit"... Now that you're back I'm feeling creative enough to make new pcs... The metallic knit w/lace applique yes please✨

You totally inspired me to upcycle a white denim jacket I never wore because the sleeves were too tight! I took some old white jeans I acquired somehow, cut off the legs, added them as cool wide sleeves to this jacket. So excited to have found your channel. I think EXACTLY like you. Love to upcycle/restyle my current wardrobe (so many clothes). Anyway, just wanted to let you know you have a new fan. You are SO my spirit animal....except I'm old enough to be your mom. But 50+ women should still be in touch with their style, am I right?!

I’m that pastors wife who- a few decades ago-sewed 3 dresses for a daughters graduation from junior high - out of drapes! Yep- she was (and is still) gorgeous and totally unique! So glad you took time away- you hv exactly one go-around w your kids- never apologize for needing time away- whatever you do it seems you give it 100% - sometimes ya just gotta hv a break-! I would finish that knit sweater somehow. Whether that’s gray check or a line of stitching, but it will completely u ravel if you wash it, or just naturally over time.
