Young Jim's van is brilliant Mel a building way of the future perhaps?. The microwave combo is something else.

At 5:22, although he said 'temporary', using a towel or toweling for curtains is great as permanent, as this is the perfect fabric for soaking up the window condensation, and towels come in a big variety of nice patterns to look at too.

Good show Mel, Jim's van is super 👊 The Microwave Combi uses 1100W for the Microwave and 1550W for the Convection Oven on max settings for anyone that's curious 👍

I like the metal extrusions. I've seen racing rigs and my 3d printer made from them so I know how rigid they can be, but never seen them cheap enough to buy in quantity.

just as an FYI, if you use the oven in combi mode with the microwave/oven/grill it will drawn 3600w... not the most van friendly appliance.

At 1550 watts for the convection oven alone drawing 6.5 amps @ 240v. Hope your on a hook-up most of the time.

I may have missed it in which case I'm sorry, and it's not really even relevant, but who owns the 'Barn' or is it a community owned space? The amount of times I've see it in videos I've never really thought about it's origins, but it's such a cool thing to have access to. Jims build is looking good, obviously a lot of thought and care gone into it. The oven looks great.

Hi Mel young lads van is really good fair play to him well done just info only not correcting you but the word transverse isn't correct it's a traverse bed I only know cos I had them in my caravans over the years I know your like me I make my own words up to haha if it sounds right it's OK haha love the barn anyway happy travels
