    I installed this same kit and struggled like hell getting the old rusty parts out and the bottom bolt back in on the lower end of the strut. Wished you showed more of how you got yours back in. Either way the truck looks great!

    My son just installed a lift like this in my 2004 quad cab Tundra but 3 inches in the back. Going to put bigger tires on too. I have these same rims but they might not be enough off-set. I may even add a rear spring to make it a little firmer and a touch of rake.

    I’m was looking to do something similar to my 01 tundra but I was conflicted on new upper control arms with longer coil overs or just a simple block lift, but I think you’ve persuaded me! How does she drive now? Any issues come up in the months since you’ve installed? Thanks for the video, CZcams could always use more first gen tundra videos!

    Sweet bro, nice mild lift. Hey, did you decide what you wanted to do with the paint job? I thinking of either repainting or wrapping mine.

    Did you have to drop the lower control arm from to push the bottom of the shock back in to put the bolt back in.?

    Do you have to take the upper or lower control arm free to get the bottom bolt to line up with the strut? I can’t get mine to line up

    Did you do a carrier bearing drop as well? If you didn’t did you get any driveshaft vibrations? What do you think overall about the lift? Drives and feels the same as before? I have a first gen Tundra and want to do this to mine to!

    • @AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO
      @AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO  Před 4 lety +1

      No driveshaft Vibrations It does need a Frontend alignment But that is OK because I need new ball joints and tie rod ends.

    Hey man, I have the same model and it’s 2WD, but I can’t get the front struts in with the spacer. There’s isn’t a rough space.

    • @AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO
      @AaronMartinCOOLVIDEO  Před 3 lety

      You need to take the lower control arm loose from the steering knuckle that should give you enough space to get it in.

  • @lloydbauch8908

    Does this help with wheel clearance? I put some 2 in spacers on my 05 tundra and now they rub when I turn to far .

      I did not stock works good if you want more flex for off road extended rear shocks but for on road driving stock is fine.

    I am ready to do this to my tundra, but I'm worried about messing up the camber/ alignment, or causing premature tire wear. Should I be worried with just a 2 inch spacer?

    • @4runnergodfather158
      @4runnergodfather158 Před 3 lety +2

      You’d be able to align it fine with just 2 inches. I’d worry about bottoming out off-roading and premature suspension wear. Not a big fan of spacer lifts. They’re only ok for the road. You’ll possibly run into issues for offrading

      Okay that’s good to know , I used the exact same kit , last week my ball joint completely snapped on me , long story short , I did hit the driver on the curb a few years back , but I feel the clearance from the wheel to the hub is very minimal . Thanks 🙏🏾 again .
