CSX mixed manifest freight train Q409 heading west with Tropicana Juice reefers and KASGRO KRL FD20 axle depressed deck flat car & cupola caboose through St Denis MARC station, Baltimore County, Maryland. Plus a DPU! Locomotives: CSX 3202(GE ES44AH) & CSX 3191(GE ES44AH).

Great catch friend. I remember when the railroads all decided to do away with the Caboose. It was so strange back then seeing the end of the trains without them. I grew up seeing them, and it was always the highlight, especially when the person riding in it would wave to you. It was never the same after they were gone.

Magic.. a red "guard's van" we called them. Mainly wood & a log/coal fire inside. Oil burning lamp on the tail end. On some night-shifts some guards & yard watchmen would spend the night in a parked one... smoking their pipes 😉 playing cards
