I was introduced to can in about 1993, thought I went deep over the following several years, but don't recall ever hearing this song. God bless the Internet
there are very few full sides that are perfect, outside of some concept albums. (i'd put in a word for soft machine's 1, 2 and 7, but then you already know that.) back when they still HAD sides, i picked this up in the only store in the detroit metro area that had import records. loaded up a bowl, dropped diamond, and went off into that mylar cover surface area like it was the last 20 minutes of "2001". truly--mindblower.
The Rio mardi gras is invaded by band of frenzied krautrockers who proceed to trip the light fantastic till the early morning, pumping out ze riffs with melodic abandon, much to the crowds delight. Phantasmagoric!
I done a painting a bit like that at school when I was a kid. i did it with wax and a small iron. It was very effective. It's called 'Encaustic' art. Just looked it up now.
The post Damo Suzuki period is greatly underrated in my humble opinion.
this is absolutely brilliant music
Man, Jaki kicked it hard on this one. What a gem, a masterpiece.
he was originally a jazz drummer, and it shows here. but he could do anything I'm convinced.

Great psychedelic krautrock jazz classic from 1974!
Some of the stuff Jaki did without overdubbing blows my mind.
