GeoTdF 2023 - Stage 8: Rochechouart meteorite crater

An impact crater? In France? Presenter Douwe van Hinsbergen brings you the Geology of the Tour de France 2023. The peloton is riding over a 210 million year old meteorite impact crater! Douwe will show you the evidence in the building blocks of the castle of Rochechouart, and the smashed up rocks in a quarry nearby.
