What another exciting and informative video. My heart would be pounding hard if I ever saw a buck like that here in the northern panhandle of West Virginia. That wind was howling, reminds me of Wyoming winds, except there are much more trees than in southern WY. I am stoked for the next one that is for sure.

Glad you all are getting some good action , it’s really great to watch, been out 12 times this year and I’ve only seen 3 deer but I’m still getting after them, trying to use you all’s tactics

Something I discovered on thermals, the highest elevation around you will typically have the highest impact on wind direction during evening de-thermalization. As the air cools, it will be traveling faster down the higher elevations, than the lesser elevations. I hunted in a creek drainage recently thinking the lowest spot in the drain was the best place to be in the evening, and had deer bust me across the creek and UPHILL from me. When I started looking at terrain on all sides of me, I discovered that the hill to my back went to a higher elevation than the hillside in front of me and the cooling air from the higher hill pushed my scent UP the smaller hill in front of me before it all turned down the drain I was in. Note to self.

Could you show your flatlander subscribers what RED OAKS look like as different from other oaks? I hunt public that has burr oak (I think) two trees connected at the base. Leaves are rounded vs pointed like pin oaks

Totally, like they aren't a herd animal anymore. Same when a bunch of deer bump out. The big boys stay put and then sneak out the backdoor.
Something I've noticed this year deer hunting is the dears for me some just snort when they don't realize I'm a human but no something's there and as soon as I find out I'm human they don't make a noise they just go

Nice big Deer I wished Florida had Deer that big . I remember when I was stationed in Fort Dix New Jersey I just couldn`t get over how big the Deer were on the Base .
Thats where I'm stationed now! Its crazy, my work center is right by the Mcguire golf course. Turkey and deer everywhere..

That buck at the end of your video here... looks like the bigger buck with the smaller buck that Ted shot Arron. He has a small swag in his main beam or a crook . That is what I noticed in the video bud the resemblance anyway. Nice buck yall jumped no doubt .

Last video was great 👍 .... Aggressively pursuing a nice buck , utilizing long range scouting....too bad they didn't find that buck , it would have been icing on the cake .
