  • WWF-Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK) Berhad have joined forces to establish a wildlife corridor connecting the Tabin Wildlife Reserve (WR) and the isolated Silabukan Forest Reserve (FR).
This corridor stands as a lifeline for species’ movements, facilitating connectivity with the adjacent Silabukan FR, which shelters a small, isolated orangutan population.
The project commenced on September 26, 2023, with a tree planting event at Ladang Bukit Tabin, Lahad Datu, marking the start of a five-year effort to establish the wildlife corridor.
