- I am selling this car or just the motor and transmission if you would like. This video shows a 21 degree Fahrenheit cold start.
The car battery has been sitting for about 6 months and was too weak to start the engine. halfway through the video we put a jump box on it to get it going.
This could be a great project car or if you want just the engine or transmission, let me know. The power train is in fantastic shape! It has only 30k miles on the timing belt and clutch. Keith, (starting the car) installed the timing belt and clutch at 170k miles. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

That is what I am planning on LOL. Had it 12 years since my Dad died in a farm accident, so I guess it outlived one guy so far.

Had one of these awesome engines in a 1985 Jetta. 50 MPG in 1985 and ran really good too. Attention to maintenance was mandatory.

Man that things runs butter smooth. If you are looking at Mk II diesels, they last, eg, this one would have had at least 150k to go (350k) with regular maintenance, probably a lot more.
Very rare in Europe, us version with diesel engine.
