- This is a question I get ALL THE TIME and I really wanted to share a longer video about my favorite ways to end the awful reading slump OR to get into reading as a hobby. I hope this helps!
Let me know if I missed any great tips in the comments and thank you 1,700 subscribers!!!
I just got out of a slump and it was the best feeling ever when I could start reading a lot again!
Yay! I'm so glad to hear!
This is already my favorite channel 😂
OMG, you are too kind!
Totally agree!! I'm super obssesed xD
"that's a different video" HAHAHA!!
Book clubs and buddy reads are great! It holds you accountable for reading it
So true!!!
"My favorite part was when the grapes were wrathful!", lol!
It was not apparent to me that I could go to reread a part of the book instead of the whole thing again. No idea why I never considered this. Thanks for suggesting this. That's a great way to scratch an itch for something familiar, but not having to commit to a whole reread.
Yay! Glad I could help!
These are good tips! I will try these out.
Please do! Happy reading!
I read a lot when I was younger and then almost stopped in high school. Got back in listeing to the Harry potter audiobooks and reading manga and comics. Which is good cause in those years I bought books as if I read them as fast as I used to... Sarah J. Maas among those bought and yet not read 😅 High on my to read list though 😊
Manga and comics are a great way to re-fall in love with good stories!
I love the Night Circus so much!
Me too!!!
I have what is maybe a bit of a weird strategy, but it works for me for when I am in such a deep slump where not even my favourite genre and books I would usually love make me want to read: I actually force myself to read a (short) book I am not that interested in, is not usually my kind of genre or has been collecting dust on my shelves for ages. Sometimes, even if rarely, I actually end up liking them. But afterwards I am always so excited to read my favourite genre again😂
I'm so deep in a slump that I had to google how to get out of one and honnestly I never even thought of rereading my favorite book. I'll try that because it sounds like a genius idea😂
I had to chuckle when you Recommended rereading a book my rereads are William Faulkner when I’m in a slump Bill Faulkner pulls me right out love your videos
Yes! Do not waste time reading books you don't enjoy!! It took me years to feel okay with DNF'ing a book but there are just too many wonderful books out there that I will never have time to read. Why spend time on one I don't like!? Great advice.
A book club is the reason I read the Night Circus and I love it so glad I read it and I never would have picked it for myself
Book Clubs are the best!
Ohhh, I never thought a reread might help! Thanks for the tips! (And the very entertaining video!)
You are most welcome!
I just got out of a reading slump by reading ACOTAR for the first time and loved it, but still get into slumps often, so I needed these tips!
I hope you loved ACOTAR!
Ezeekat I absolutely loved it- looking at reading Cresent City next.
"Not a math video" 🤣 so glad I'm not the only one stumped by the subject of math. Also I feel like a video that's "not that kind video" would be hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
We came here to read, not add numbers lol.
@@Ezeekat is it bad that I want to snarky.... 2+2=4 😬
I just found your CZcams channel!! I came from your tiktok and I found this and now I’m so excited😁💕

I absolutely love these tips! Thank you so much for sharing them.
Can I just say I’m loving ur channel so much
Thank you so much!
Book clubs are great!😊
They are! I can't wait until things start opening up. I love the Barnes and Noble book club!
If I may make a video suggestion: How can one find time to read when one has multiple hobbies? So like I love watching movies, playing games, as well as reading and sometimes I feel I can never get to enjoy all. Do you set aside a specific time each week of when to read? Or how many pages per day to read? Or any other tips on how to fit reading into your schedule?
That's a great idea! And one that I struggle with on a daily basis!
thanks a lot man for the tips
Um yeah, so I have bookmarks that I leave in my favorite book that way I can go back and read my favorite sections at any time. Is this a healthy obsession, I don't know but I love it!
Sounds healthy to me! Haha
I just finished Kingdom of Ash for the first time -read the entire series in a week I was so hooked- and am in a major slump right now!! This is what I needed
Glad I could help!
I need this so much right now
Hope it helps!
I’m on a reading slump right now. Because the book I’m trying to read is so boring. But I don’t know how to put it down and start another. I always need to finish the one I’m reading at the moment
I've been stuck in reading slump for solid five years now and for some time I'm trying to get out of it. It's the first time I've heard the term 'reading slump' though. (Still learning english)
I'm excited to try out your tipps.
You can do it! Good luck!
And by the way where is OUR BOOK CLUB JAYSEN???
Working on it! Hahaha
Ezeekat best news ever
Thanks for the tips! What are some of the book clubs you are a part of?
Up until quarantine I was a part of the Barnes & Noble book club. Hopefully it starts up again soon.
Ezeekat we don’t have Barnes and noble here. Every time I see people going in one I’m so jealous.
Good suggestions. However, do you have any suggestions to find out if certain books have dark tones or contain certain triggers without spoiling it?
That's a great question. The best I can say is to google it. I've asked on my tiktok channel if people thought books should have trigger warnings and I've gotten some interesting discussion out of it.
is that a yoda stitch i see in the back???
It is!!!
There are CZcams pages about Math.
Raed my hero academia plz
Just finished Volume 1 this evening!
@@Ezeekat great did you like it is on of my favorite mangas and have you read haikyuu it's good to and love your tiktok to how is Midnight Sun 😂🤣
