As one gets deeper and deeper down this path, certain gems become duds as you’re blessed with more and more understanding and depth.
For example, I think “ I Write What I Like” is a crap book. It was written by a white guy who didn’t even originally like black power and align with Biko - they only aligned LATER. When you read the book, it’s a mish-mash reference book that says a million things that don’t 100% explain Biko’s philosophy and ideals.
I bought a copy at Exclusive Books and I gave it away because it’s almost useless to me.
What we need to be clear about is that Steve Biko did not write that book, a white guy did. That alone raises serious red flags.

Since listening to this podcast I've been very intentional about my rand. My hair is done strictly by south african people if they aren't available I'll do it myself. I don't buy from abomy friend I'd rather walk an extra 10 mins. I grew up in township and we had black south African Tuckshop owners but now 🙄 I hope one day we could go back there, maybe I can even own my own tuckshop

The more I watch this, the more I feel khuti we need our black court.
      Base rules:
      1. If you go into black court, you’re not allowed to use any information shared at the normal European court.
      2. Once a matter is brought into black court, a European court settlement is signed immediately so that people don’t take the matter to European court.
From there, we can squash beefs and mend reputations. This internal bickering is bloody annoying.
Some people suspect Sbu and won’t want to work with him. Some people think Zahara’s a dumb village girl who doesn’t research or read when doing things.
Bathi “When brothers fight to death, a stranger inherits their father’s estate.”
Very true for us Africans. A system used to squash our internal beefs will do a lot. As opposed to running to white owned media that will use the story to destroy black unity, black love and black power.
Daily Sun gives NO EFFS about what their influence does to our communities- they don’t care about us. They have 0 responsibility.
Sunday Sun give NO EFFS about the reputations they damage and the great work and projects that that damages.
Let’s stop running to the slave master with our problems - it kills EVERYBODY. That spite that hate for another black person, let’s denormalize it.

Black Wall Street was not destroyed by the bombs and attacks by the KKK. The attacks ruined their infrastructure and buildings but Black Wall Street was more a mindset and than simple civil infrastructure.
    After they destroyed their community.
Those back people came back and just rebuilt the town lol.
It became functional again and apparently families came back.
What destroyed black Wall Street was INTEGRATION.
Once blacks were allowed to integrate, they stopped building their own neighbourhoods and moved into white neighborhoods.
THAT was what killed Black Wall Street in Tulsa. Not bombs, not murdering them, not destroying their neighborhoods but simply integrating with your enemies and aspiring to be like them.

Same thing in SA. Go read about oSam Motsunyane and others. Black businesses boomed in townships. Imagine living down the street from titans of industry and celebrities. You’re way more likely to firstly believe that you can do it and you’re secondly more likely to get opportunities or exposure to enabling resources/info.
Now we’re spread out and weak.
The ones who attain financial wealth buy a German car and move into Jewish neighbourhoods.
It’s almost a status signal to say that you’re the only black on your street.
The blacks with a conscience will maybe visit eKasi once in a while to ‘reconnect’ but they won’t bloody live there.

      What’s the solution?
We need to build our ideal black community.
We should not forget that townships were created as nazi-style concentration camps and labor camps. Townships were not designed for the upliftment of abantu.
Our thinkers like uDoctor here, our town planners, architects need to have a filmed workshop where we figure out what the ideal community is so that we can align and then build it.
Home loans in a DA ward are not the one guys. Where you live also determines where a large amount of all your other purchases will come from.

Apologies if I offend anybody. That’s not my intent. I speak like this because there are atrocities that are not being addressed.
Too many people have massaged the truth so as not to upset the apple cart and sometimes we need to take the condom off and give it everyone raw so that they remember what the truth feels like.

Lol. This rainbow nation mindset’s a big reason why South Africans starve and beg for crumbs IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY.
I don’t blame the commenter. Someone said the youth of today is not lost or useless for no reason... he said that the youth of today has been deeply depoliticized using every form of media, manipulation and influence. From 1994, there was an extra strong mass depoliticizing agenda that affected every facet of youth.
If you weren’t politicized at home and taught what power is and what Europeans did and continue to do to Africans, media will deal with you and turn you into someone your ancestors would spit on if they ever saw you. (No offense. It’s just true that some of your ancestors fought deeply to protect this country and they’d be deeply disappointed in offspring that disrespected their efforts, cries, blood, sweat and tears)

Sbu and Penuel. The moment anyone mentions Nigeria or Nigerians my mind just shuts down and I immediately get on a defensive mode. I am just being honest.
I am aware that this is not correct but it's my reality. I just want nothing to do with Nigerians because I have no way of detecting between the good and bad.
My problem is that the so called good Nigerians are bystanders and don't do anything to deter the bad ones in their trajectory. As the American actor Jesse Williams said "the burden of the britalised is not to comfort bystanders".
