    Nice! I'm going here with my JLUR in May. This reminds me of wheeling with my '18 lifted Outback... then I bought a Wrangler and basically now take a nap while the Jeep does everything for me, it wakes me up after climbing anything. :D

    Thank you guys again for the great time! You guys are just the best, most courteous hosts and do a wonderful job with everything y’all do. As great as the trails are and the content you publish here what I really find most special is total strangers coming together and forming friendships. The dinner and campfire talk at the end of the day just chitchatting and finding out about mutual friends or similar/opposite upbringing was so cool. As you’ve said before we really are more similar than different and the world needs more people like Prodigal Overland bringing folks together. Thank you!!

      @@jimwheeler6094 wait though, if you look, you can see that my Jeep with the ORA stuff still allows a normal jack if needed on the factory body pick up points... I mean, I'll use a high lift (because they're built into the rock trails) but if you don't have a high lift, the factory stuff is still an option.. It's still plenty protected obviously because we came out unscathed 😉

      @@lamecwedsi, yeah, nope, no thanks, not interested. That was what I was going to get but that was before I discovered that it does not protect the pinch weld like the Mopar and Chief Products Rock Rails do. The only reason that you came out unscathed this time is because you did not come down onto any rocks that would impact the pinch weld and shove it up into the unibody. As far as I'm concerned it is a poor design.

    Brad i have question to you!
    I am going to purchase chief products low fascia guard and suspension plate guard.
    So I should to install first low fascia protection and then suspension plate right?
    Suspension plate bolts on under low fascia guard? And if i take heavy duty suspension plate, and i have hemi engine,so when i will need to change oil filter,i just remove bolts and suspension plate,and front low fascia guard will be bolted on “radiator frame” anyway correct?
    And when I changed oil filter i have to bolt on suspension plate under front low fascia?
    It seems like front low fascia guard and suspension guard are screwed on the same bolts to the car underneath.
    Sorry for my English and i hope that you understood what did i mean.
    Ty for your reply!

      The Sump plate fits under the lower front guard and over the front differential (mopar) Plate behind it. You want the sump plate with the whole for the oil changes for the V8. Unless you really enjoy removing armor plating. And yes they share the same holes. Hopefully that helps!

    • @jimwheeler6094

      I believe that the behavior of the folding mirrors are a setting in the EVIC. As for the Quadra-Lift system fixing itself, if there is a leak and some of the UHP Nitrogen escapes, the system will take in outside air to compensate with absolutely no notification that it is doing it. The outside air that it takes into the sytem may prevent you from being stranded but it thoroughly contaminates the system with moisture which usually isn't a problem until the weather becomes cold enough to freeze the moisture, which then wreaks havoc with the Quadra-Lift system.

    • @ProdigalOverland
      @ProdigalOverland  Před 3 lety +1

      @@jimwheeler6094 could be what happened. But it is so sporadic. If there was a leak somewhere I would think it would constantly be an issue

    • @jimwheeler6094
      @jimwheeler6094 Před 3 lety +1

      @@ProdigalOverland, every airline fitting at the end of each airline in the Quadra-Lift system relies on an o-ring at either end of the fitting to seal in the UHP Nitrogen. The front airstruts also have large o-rings at the top and bottom of the airbag. The o-rings lose their elasticity as they age and in freezing weather they contract and lose their seal. That is why the vast majority of Quadra-Lift system failures occur in freezing weather. The Quadra-Lift system will draw in outside air in order to try and compensate for the lost UHP Nitrogen, unbeknownst to you, as there is no notification that it is doing it, and from what I understand there is no way to determine if it has done it in the past. The outside air contaminates the sytem with moisture which wreaks havoc when it freezes in the system, with it either blocking the airlines or freezing the valves in the valve control block closed. If you start your JGC in freezing weather and you hear a loud banging noise coming from the right front of the JGC, that is the Quadra-Lift compressor self destructing while it's trying to pump up and level a frozen Quadra-Lift system.

    • @abazdarhon
      @abazdarhon Před 3 lety

      @@jimwheeler6094 behavior of my mirrors depend of the mood of my Jeep if he is happy he let the mirror open if he is affected by rain he decide to not open them by fob and it not depend of Evic. About Quadra lift suspension I was in the impression that the system is close and compressor is only for increase pressure and move gas between tank and system.
