Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche Blessed Devotees in Heavy Rain | Bumthang, Bhutan, June 25, 2023

From June 23 to July 6, 2023, more than 16,000 devotees gathered at Tharpaling Monastery in Bumthang, Bhutan, to receive Wang-lung-Thri (empowerment, oral transmission, and explanation) on the sacred works of Longchenpa from Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche.
The monastery is located at the mountain top at an altitude of 3,600 meters. Due to the large number of people, the monastery faced issues with the water supply for toilets and sanitation. The monsoon weather also posed a challenge as people stayed in tents on the mountain slope.
