- I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Echo PB-580T Back Pack Blower. It is a great machine for a home owner or a commercial company. The Echo PB-580T boasts 510 CFM and 210 MPH. I have owned my unit for 3 years now and it has been a great piece of equipment. I have not had a single breakdown, never even changed a spark plug. In this video review you will see me start this blower with 1 pull. I did not warm up the blower, nothing. It was a true cold start. I live in Michigan and it has been down in the 30s at night and upper 40s during the day. I have not started this blower for 2 weeks prier to the taping of this review. That should tell you all you need to know about this blower right there.

I have that same blower and it’s flawless, it moves mass amounts of debris easily, I totally agree with the review.
I also own that blower, it’s awesome. I had a issue with one and Echo took care of it.
Have two 580s for my busniess, they are top notch
I love my PB-580T so reliable
Awesome video man, just what I was looking for. Going to go get one now with a review like that. 💯🤙🏼. Great job, thanks
Awesome! I’m glad I could help.
Thank you my friend. Off to Home Depot right now.
You’re welcome!
It's a good blower I had mine for over 3 years used commercially I did have to replace the carb the second year and this year the third year it had a bad coil I replaced it and it ran great for 2 weeks now today it turned off on one of my employees and again no spark at all so I guess the coil is bad again I'm not going to mess with it again I got my money's worth out of it I paid $299 at home depot over 3 years ago I just went and got a new pb755 and we have another pb755 and 770 and there on 8 years with us those have been more reliable then the 580 but of course there over $100 more but for the money the 580 is great blower cuz we put tons of hours on that blower and here in Miami we work 5 and 6 days a week all year around none stop.
Bought one for my parents house great little blower but love my sthil products.
I bout this blower and it really handles a ton of leafs🎉
Can you do a video of the Echo 8010 or 9010 in use. Great video!
you sold me man! sweet review!
I'm glad it was helpful.
I found one of these on a clean up job for free works great
For a homeowner, I use it on roughly 3/4 to 1 acre of our property, the rest is trees and or I don't care and hit the leaves with the mower, here in SE Michigan. It gets the job done, usually one tank is plenty. I waited longer this year to clear the yard, had a good months worth of heavy leaf fall, you could not see a blade of grass... This little unit knocked out roughly 3/4 of an acre in no time, one tank of fuel got her done.
I just got a used one that hasn’t been started in over 5 years. Started on the second pull
Yes! This is the best starting blower I have used to date. Starts every time!
I have the same and use it everyday for the past 3 years minor repairs pull cord and now the kill switch acting up easy fixes. Echo all day here
I bought one today. I’m done with Husqvarna motors.
I had the Husqvarna, this is a much better unit.
Does it have the grinding cable running thru the tube like the new ones have to eliminate hand shock?
Al Gorel yes it does although it is almost worn through.
I never knew what that cable was for it just hung down but thanks letting it be known
How does this compare to the Stihl Br 600? I have two but was thinking of buying two of these first, but I did research and obviously the Br 600 has more CFM, but would you really know the difference from this in real use? Anyway thanks to whoever helps out!
I did landscaping for years and honestly if you want the best power for a backpack blower I'd buy a shindaiwa years ago it was way more powerful so can only imagine it'd be even better now
@@stephenchampagne5763 Wow 3 years ago! Thanks for advice, I now own a handful of blowers! Have a collection of BG Stihl Handhelds and own a BR700 and BR450. Want to get my hands on an 800C or Echo PB9010!
I would love to see a comparison between this blower and the husqvarna 150BT.
Nathan @husqvarna would have to lend me a blower in order to do a comparison.
@@LansingLawnServiceLLC That would be great, I did some extensive research and I came up with a few answers I had questions for. Both great blowers with some minor differences. www.thesawguy.com/echo-pb-580t-vs-husqvarna-150bt/#ECHO_PB_580T_vs_Husqvarna_150BT_Key_Differences
No joke I have had an echo for 10 years and it still starts on the first or second pull.. The power is great the only thing that I had to do in 10 years is to change the plug. And I have not even really changed yet I’ve just clean the plug off and it still starts first or second try.

Johnny Richard thanks for the support brother!
have you looked at the PB 755st? I have a handheld now, Im guessing the 550 would be perfect. I have about a half an acre but a dozen of trees
I have seen it but never used it. If it was me I would spend the extra $50 and buy the 770 especially with so many trees.
I'm deciding between the same two. The price difference after tax is like $140. Not sure it's worth it. I've got about an acre and 15-20 oak trees.
Aaron, what would you recommend for a homeowner mower?
Nature Trail it depends on how much you have to mow.
Thinking about getting one,I like their 5 year warranty but how good do it hold up using it commercial?
snoop furlow definitely check out the other comments. Some guys have been using them commercially for 3 years. It is a great blower for sidewalks. It’s light and powerful enough.
@@LansingLawnServiceLLC thank you I'll will be making a purchase soon,I think the 5 year warranty on the unit is pretty fair
Would you recommend this blower still? I live in the widest with 4 mature maples. They drop a decent amount of leaves. I previously used a stihl bg 50. I was very interested in this blower.
Yes, I would still recommend this blower. If you want a little more power your could jump up to the ECHO PB 770, but otherwise the 580T is a great blower.
Also people sleep on the shindaiwa brand but they have some of the most powerful backpacks
I don't know if you bought the Echo unit, but I can tell you it will be night and day over the Stihl unit you own. I'm in SE Michigan, I wish I only had four maple trees to contend with... This blower will get the job done.
I have the same blower used it twice and now won't start again it's been a year since it died on me still brand new wondering what's wrong with it? Bought it brand new from Home Depot as well does it need a carburetor? Only used twice but was for 2-3 hours each time
Probably a gummed up carburetor. I am sure there is a video on here somewhere to fix it. To avoid this, I use the Echo Red Armor fuel, 50:1 that Home Depot sells. I just took delivery of four 110oz cans, those will last me a good year as a homeowner. I use this in a variety of equipment, Stihl and Echo 2 cycle motors for the past four or five years. I have never had an issue with any of my equipment since getting away from pump gasoline.
As soon as I get my tax refund I am buying this unit from Home Depot, its an all year round investment, use it for snow removal (now) in the winter and around the property, deck & driveway in the summer. The CO. I work for bought one (not this particular one) for snow removal on walkways and R/R switches to be cleared and I couldn't believe how well it works!...never in a million years would I have thought of using one for snow removal.
I can let my Echo string trimmer sit for over 6 months and it'll usually kick off on the first or second pull even while using old gas.
Yep! Same here. I crunk it up today for the first time since September of 2020 with the same old gas and it ran like a top. I actually just bought this blower today too.
I just bought one seems to idle very ruff is this normal?
May be the fuel or the mix... Or, the carb is out of adjustment. I'm leaning to poor fuel quality. Ever figure it out?
I just bought the same blue at home. Depot I love it.i own my own landscaping company
That’s awesome!
Does anybody else's leak gas from the cap?
Nope but it’s a simple fix just buy another gas cap, should be under $5
Does echo make commercial blowers ?
MoparFanSRT yes, of course.
Not only does is cost less than the Stihl counterpart, but you also can buy any part you want for it online instead of being stuck going to the stupid dealer to buy those Stihl parts. Also, the Echo is more straightforward and easier to work on in my experience. I'll never own another Stihl blower again. Nothing but trouble out of the one Stihl blower I have and the others I've worked on.
@@TheSaw410 I haven't had much luck buying genuine Stihl parts online especially hard parts. Usually the only genuine stuff I can get online is just someone selling stuff on ebay. REALLY not impressed with their stuff. Every piece of Stihl equipment I've owned and worked on for people has been nothing but trouble except for my MS180C I inherited.
This thing good for snow?
Maybe light fluffy snow, but I would recommend the 9010 for snow.
I see it..one pull thats all.
Your model looks a bit different from the newer ones
Should get a 8010 or a 9010
Depends on what you are using these for, those are heavy units compared to the 5 or 7 series. If you are doing smaller jobs, the lighter more fuel efficient units may be a better choice.
And i paid 360 for it
Have your thought of buying a Echo PB-500T?
Do you like your Echo PB-580T Backpack Blower
It blows at 215 miles per hour
The miles per hour really mean nothing when it comes to blowing leaves. You want to look at the CFM. The higher the CFM the more volume of air comes out of the tube.
I just bought my first Echo blower 580 and I paid $341 I hopefully it work for my small company I'm in Solo
AFFORDABLE Lawn Care it’s will work for you. It doesn’t have as much power as the 770 but it is pretty good. I hope you like it.
Tengo esa cosa y no tiene potencia, ahora tengo una Sthil magnum de arranque lateral y realmente es una bestia
