Well I’m from Maryland and they don’t really play West coast music on the radio out here. It’s mostly Atlanta shit, like Cardi B, Drake, all that type shit. Only real music lovers check out like Cali rap, Detroit rap. I always fucked with Cali music since Death Row days so I’m hip to all the West coast shit from San Diego to Seattle. But most people I know don’t know the artist I listen to. So I think it’s more, the labels control the radio. Most artist out Cali are independent so they not gonna pay to be on the radio all across the country. I think that may have something to do with it but I could be wrong.
