Charlie Hopkinson is a comedic impressionist, impersonator, voice guy, whatever you want to call it who specialises in voices from current television shows and films. His standup is a character act about a retired maths teacher, his standup set includes impressions of Sir David Attenborough, Robin Williams, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Peaky Blinders, Tommy and Arthur Shelby and Gandalf from Lord of the Rings.
Always looking to update my roster I look to try out subscriber suggested impressions in the impressions challenge series before honing the best ones. Recently I have added Peaky Blinders and Marvel / Avengers characters to my arsenal!

I started learning impressions in 2012, at the age of 20. You can follow my full impressions journey in my new ‘How to do impressions’ tutorial series
After graduating from the University of Warwick in the summer 2013 he took 4 months out to concentrate on CZcams videos full time, including producing his most viewed video to date ‘Morgan Freeman and 40 other impressions’ with just over 12 million views. This foray into being a ‘full time CZcamsr’ was cut short as he went travelling for 3 months before starting a 2 year teaching Graduate scheme with Charity ‘Teach First’.
While teaching he has performed in and narrated the 4 episode series ‘Lookalikes’ as Morgan Freeman. The show and the narration received a positive reception. The show aired on Channel 4 during the prime time slot of Friday 10pm for three weeks. It is now currently available on Netflix. Charlie also performed with other well known impressionists for an unaired pilot.
Charlie has worked for several prominent brands in relation to their products, including google and formula 1.
Since the summer of 2016 Charlie has once again dived into the world of CZcams, for the first time producing content on a weekly basis. He is also focusing on live performance; he has performed in live venues a total of 3 times to date.

Seriously, that high ground is some amazing offense + defensive multiplier. Gravity plus reach plus line of sight. Even a modest foot or two helps, if you compel your enemy to raise their arms to reach you, you've got advantage, and if they can see you over all available cover its game over. I'm amazed how little this high ground is appreciated, people think it only applies if you are able to duck under crenellations or some fancy stonework, or climb a mesa and pull up the ladders. Yes, that maximizes advantage, as a rule of thumb it triples the number of combatants needed to take such high ground.
But consider a man on a horse with a saber-a height advantage of what, a few feet? But devastating, if only because it saves the horseman a hell of a lot of effort. One hardly even needs to swing; just keep the saber level and roughly eyeline of the enemy, you can't miss. Your enemy, however, has to do some serious lifting and parrying.
Combine elevation with more reach, or compensate having the low ground with more reach, those those can be done, but those require some preparation, then group cohesion, and discipline. As Obi-Wan knew, high ground isn't everything. Sometimes doing something unexpected is all by itself a breakthrough. But that isn't a sure thing; its a gamble your enemy hasn't considered your resourcefulness. And that made him go back and master high ground instead of dismissing it because he overcame it that one time.
That epic final battle in ROTS shows Obi-Wan's mastery of combat conditions, no matter how good or how aggressive Annikin's sheer dueling skill. Obi-Wan was never too pressed to, every step in retreat, at the same time, gather up whatever defensive advantage was at hand. Luke Skywalker also demonstrated this skill in every duel I've seen him do. Defensive is a good way to, eventually, win a fight.

Thing is, there's at least like, a dozen or so other characters who've gotten wounds exactly the same as or much worse than Qui-Gon's stab wound, AND SURVIVED. I still don't understand why Qui-Gon has to die from a singular (and cauterized) gut wound, but someone like Finn in the Force Awakens survives getting his literal back sliced by a lightsaber.
