Lydia Valentin, 3 time Olympic medalist 75kg lifter for Spain, doing a snatch and C&J workout while 8 days out from competition at the 2017 World Championships. Some notes:
-This is part 1 of 5 featuring Lydia from the 2017 WWC. She went quite heavy in the training hall so several of the parts will feature big lifts, like this one.
-She went on to do 118/140 to win her first senior WWC (which doesn't count Olympics, but she did previously win the 2012 Olympics)
-Her lifetime PRs are 124kg Snatch (2014 WWC) and 147kg Clean and Jerk (2014 Europeans)

Why not just place hand on bar in relation to the line?
A lot of it is just ritual behavior. Like batters in baseball or cricket. They have their approach rituals too. She approaches every lift exactly the same way which mentally reinforces the same desired positive outcome.
