Does a Yamaha Blaster head fit the DT175 engine? | LIVE SPICY DT175

Hey guys. Since the DT175 head is no good to modify due to its poor design, I'm on a quest to find a head I can modify and mate to the DT cylinder so we can increase power. I have my Blaster head laying around and thought I'd give it a try. let's see if this will work or not!

You can drill the wholes on the blaster head bigger till it can fit
I don’t believe it will have sealing issues
I just really wanna try this for my it175

The dt head is better anyway and you can mill it down to raise compression. There is a reason they went with that head. It equalizes piston temp and is supposed to help flow.

The whole top end of a blaster 200 can be fitted on a dt125? If yes do yo know if the original exhaut dont touch the cylinder because of her biggest size ?

I can ask someone who just did it. I think you have to swap thr while engine tho. If u gotta do that I'd put an rt180 engine in instead of a dt175. Much better motor off the rip

Older 1973 models it’s a direct bolt on I did in the 70s AT TO CT swap it was very common as 125s had electric start and 175s did not . I just purchased a 175 1975 to play around with but I doubt I’ll be swapping motors lots of power can be gained by porting and polishing the cylinders but you’ll need to purchase the Yamaha spec performance book .
