  • Reacting/commenting on the dance practice, bts recording, and bts mv shoot of Give Me That! In this video and the next I am comparing 2 different editing methods! In this video, there is significantly less cut out from my reaction (hence the length), and in the next one, I'll be cutting out a majority of the parts where I'm not saying much or reacting very mildly. Please let me know which style you prefer!

    The way Ten and Xiaojun were malfunctioning was so cute! Their raw voices are incredible. Xiaojun's singing tone is 🤌 extremely beautiful. Also I agree with what you said about Ten’s voice -I feel like it’s so melodic & crystal clear that it pierces through your ears.

    Oh wow, it's great to know you like WayV enough to check out their behind the scenes stuff. I really appreciate reactors who react to things because they honestly love the artist and not just to get a reaction video out.
    Anyway, I'm glad to know you're vocally trained. I actually enjoy reactions of people with some kind of dancing/music/performance background.
    I used to be in a choir too so it really amazes me how some people can still thrive in the music industry even if they trained late. Like when i looked Ten up, I saw old videos of him singing in Teen Superstar (a talent competition in Thailand) and thought his pitch back then was no good.😅 Moreover, he wasn't trained by SM to be a vocalist initially. He only had vocal training when he had a knee surgery and was told by the doctor he might not be able to dance again. He already debuted with NCT U then as a dancer and sub/lead rapper but maybe because of his knee injury, he wasn't included in NCT 127.
    It was a very dark time for Ten but because he wants to follow his dream he decided he needs to be a vocalist cuz he can't just rely on his dancing anymore. And indeed now, even if he doesn't have the most impressive vocal technique in SM, he certainly has the most versatile tone that sounds so good in almost any type of song. Like if you hear more WayV, NCT U and SuperM songs, you will realize how his voice adds so much chicness and coolness to the vibe of their songs. Like, the guy really went from zero to hero vocally and I really respect that a lot.🫡

    - I loveee the choreo for give me that! It's so fun and upbeat, you can indeed tell that they're enjoying it. There's also a behind the scenes for the making of the choreo if you want to check it out as well.
    - WayV's vocal colors are diverse indeed. And even so, they still work really well together!
    - This is how it usually works in NCT/WayV recordings. They keep repeating parts where they're not satisfied enough/didn't get the right feel. Kenzie is such an iconic producer so I'm really glad she got to work with them.
    - I actually don't mind long and uncut reactions. Even if you think there are some parts where you don't react much, it's still quite entertaining and interesting for me! Thank u sm for this reaction 🫶

    19:11 😂 the way he called himself 'Ten-ah' (it's like telling himself focus ten focus) 😭, that's so freaking cute.

    This was fun to watch! I liked hearing your comments on WayV's voices. I agree, Xiaojun's voice is so clear and refined, Kun's voice is beautifully sweet and soft (I definitely get the blanket comparison!), and Ten's voice is piercing (but in a great way, not negative) and with a slight texture that is very interesting. And yeah, Hendery seems to really attack the words when he raps, while Yangyang has a smoother flow/style. (Plus, the fact that they're out there recording in multiple languages for one album? TALENT!). The recording behinds are so fun, it's cute to see all of their little habits. One request, if you could move the screen that you're reacting to up slightly so that the English subtitles can be seen, it will be easier for us viewers to follow along to what you're reacting to.
    They also have a recording bts for New Ride that I personally really enjoyed, there were a few segments where two members were recording together which was especially fun. Even if you don't react to it on your channel, it might be fun to check out on your own time!

    I totally agree ten is one of the best dancer I've ever seen. However, calling him a 3rd-gen dancer might even be an understatement lol, (though WayV is 4th-gen, but we can count Ten as 3rd). He’s honestly one of the best dancers in K-pop. Even pro dancers and top-level choreographers have said the same-‘he’s so natural, he can master any dance style, and the way he moves is just unmatched. Saying he’s a professional dancer isn’t even an exaggeration.’ That’s a direct quote from a pro choreographer! WayV’s dance moves are also so flawless that if you’re not a trained dancer, you might not even notice the differences in their styles. They’ve got underrated dancers like Xiaojun and YangYang who can match Ten’s freak lol.

    • @arien_000
      @arien_000 Před měsícem +2

      Nah, I've actually seen a video where an SM dancer admitted that TEN is better than pro dancers. And Mark himself said how he's never seen a better dancer than Ten and how NCT can brag about him. Also, during his rookie era when he joined Hit The Stage, he got senior idols like Taemin and Yugyeom (Got7) crushing on him. Taemin literally mentioned him as the younger idol he looks forward to the most and how he has something special. During the same show Yugyeom had BamBam introduced him to TEN and acted as if he was being introduced to a senior who already had a name in the industry when the fact is it was Ten who was the rookie that time. And if you watch reactions of pro dancers and performers they all say the same thing. The fact that he had a casual freestyle contest with 3x world champion street dancer Uno Santa in Great Dance Crew and didn't look beyond his league tells you about what an amazing dancer he is.
      I know, some people are unsure and not confident about who's the best dancer in the entire kpop industry, but I sure am not one of them. I know people have different tastes and dancers themselves look for different things, but I'm confident that considering everything that matters most - technicalities, aesthetics, artistry and of course versatility, TEN (and him alone) is at the apex among all kpop dancers (at least for now). Of course it can't be helped that other idols have bigger fan bases than WayV so Ten has less clout (at least for now) and you know how herd mentality works. I know how we tend to sometimes try to avoid getting into arguments with other people with different opinions but really it's just so plain to see.

      @@arien_000 I know no one’s on Ten’s level, even those who are popular and well-known as dancers. That’s not a disrespect to any other dancer; like you said, people have different tastes and all. The fact that Ten has less clout is because there are so many popular groups and dancers out there & I totally agree. Ten is just underrated, and some people are biased, not gonna lie. When non-K-pop fans and new reactors check out different groups, they immediately notice who stands out the most, and their reactions are so genuine because they don’t know who’s popular and who’s not. So, they’re not gonna judge based on that, and they can’t be biased. Even my colleagues who aren’t into K-pop really like Ten’s dancing. I always show them his dance videos and Taemin’s too, just to get their opinion since I used to be a dancer as well. They all have the same opinion: they say Taemin is hypnotic and sensual with his moves, and for Ten, they just say he’s mind-blowing. The fact that out of 20 people, they all chose him as the best versatile dancer really says a lot. And again, that’s no disrespect to Taemin or any other artist. Taemin’s a well-known performer and a role model for many idols, including Ten, (I also really admire him as a dancer) so we know he’s phenomenal. However, they both have their own unique styles that can’t be copied, and that’s the perfect way to describe their dancing.
      Now, if my comparison of Xiaojun and YangYang’s dancing to Ten’s triggered you, that’s not what I meant. I know nobody can move like Ten, but what I meant was that they’re both amazing dancers too, yet very underrated. They deserve to be praised for their skills, that’s all. In the end, Ten is still the best dancer-if not the best, then definitely one of the best in K-pop, or just in general.

    • @arien_000
      @arien_000 Před měsícem +1

      @@Atiny-oc5zd haha. Did I give that impression? I wasn't triggered by the Yangyang and Xiaojun statement. I do think they're great too. The things I said about Ten is just a general thing and had nothing to do with them. It's cuz you said he's "one of the best" while I'm damned sure he "is the best". You don't have to agree either. I'm just putting it out there.

      @@arien_000 Yeah, pretty much! Even if you didn’t mean to, it still sounds like you got a little triggered lol. But I’ll believe you if you say so. And honestly, why would I deny that he’s one of the best dancers? XD. I know he is. I just don’t want to come across like I’m putting him on a pedestal lol.

      @@Atiny-oc5zd oh I see. As long as it's not disrespectful, I never think in terms of what people will think about the things I say cuz the stuff they have in their heads is anyway just their business😅 "It is what is" - when the truth is clear, I don't see the point of hesitating to admit it. Spontaneity, openness and freedom are fun things to have😅

    Btw you missed Give Me That dance practice behind the scenes. Their dance practice behind the scenes are actually also enjoyable to watch. My favorite one was for INVINCIBLE cuz they were so extra that time (maybe cuz the choreo is pretty easy so they weren't so focused and serious)😅 They looked like they had a little bit too much coffee😅

    Great video! Hardly anyone reacts to the behind content so it was really cool to see this, especially the recordings. WayV are such great dancers but I love their vocals and individual colours and how they mix together. The other few recording videos are super impressive too, I hope you get a chance to check them! And yes, all the members (mostly the vocal line but rappers too) do harmonies. I think Xiaojun ac has one of the deeper ranges too, as well as hitting those high notes haha.
    Oh btw have you seen Xiaojun's Lee Mujin service episode? Its seriously stunning vocals.
