Oh poor Shermie 💙 Hope he heals up well. Good on you for letting them know cause that sucks! Our poor little Bambi nearly died cause the vet pulled out a bad tooth & he got meningitis. He should of been put on antibiotics. He’s a little bit special needs now & has to have steroids for the rest of his life but he’s a happy little fella & we still have him thanks god 💙 sorry just felt the urge to share that with you

Great idea. I have not actually started glueing yet, been harvesting and altered ( covered) an old hardback craft book in readiness! I bought a magazine yesterday...bargain 2 for 1 package Bazaar & Elle. They have some repeated ads inc a beautiful 2 page Lady GaGa spread. Goodness isn't today's 'fashion' a hoot! 😉🥰
Like this project. I am also now liking to do smaller g.b.'s. Love watching you harvest mags. I did that for almost 3 hrs. this afternoon. Found out THAT was really stupid to do during a fibro flare!! DUH! HAD to get rid of some of the mag. pile though, so I wouldn't be falling over it anymore.😑😕. That was very upsetting about Shermie! I would have said the same things (and a free shave the next time!) Big hug to Shermie AND you.
Nicole, what do you do with all the scrapbook journals that you make? Do you sell them, gift them, keep them...maybe all 3!
This is such an awesome idea. Was sorry to hear about Sherman, how dare they and not say anything to you. You will have to let us know what happens about your complaint and also that Sherman is doing alright. I don't know about you but does the Vogue magazine seem to be slipping with it's fabulous images, there didn't seem to be that many in this edition, only towards the end. I checked one out in the supermarket the other week and just didn't bother to buy it, there was absolutely nothing exciting about it. Tfs xo

VOGUE is one of my favorite magazines to use for collage, although I usually make color photo copies - bc they’re easier to use.

I'm glad you called about Shermie...they do need to be sure it doesnt happen again. And, they sure should have told you it happened. In the hospital, an incident report would have to be filed, and then followed up by Risk Management.

Hi Gina! Those are tools I bought from Dollar Tree. Technically they are for smoothing down vinyl but I use them to smooth out my images. I found them in the crafting section. A few months ago I bought a little tool similar to this at Dollar Tree, but it's for smoothing icing on cakes. It works so good too!
What size scrapbook paper did you use for this
I’m not exactly sure…as a rule I usually cut my cover papers about “.25 shorter than the dimensions of the surface I’m gluing it on. So let’s just say the cover is 3” x 6”….I would cut the paper to be 2.75” x 5.75”. I hope that helps!😘❤️
Why do you use glue stick ?
Great question! A glue stick is a "dry" glue, if I used a "wet" glue like Elmers it would saturate the paper and make the magazine pages wrinkle. The magazine pages can tear really easily when wet as well. By using a glue stick, I have more control, and less wrinkles :)
