I could listen to you talk about absolutely anything! I love all of the makeup looks that you do! I haven't drank in years, it just never appealed to me. I was always so embarrassed the next day. I hated hearing stories about the stupid shit I did.
I have this but on an extreme level. Alcohol 0.04% can make me extremely sick. I will be flushed, throw up, have extreme nausea straight away. It’s alcohol intolerance. It means you are missing the enzyme to break down ethanol. It’s rare but I’ve had to live with this which is a struggle considering I’m in uni. Everyone who doesn’t know me thinks I’m mental but it’s confirmed and my mum has it too. You need to look after yourself x

Ok so as a survivor in recovery I understand that spirit in alcohol and or drugs. It's a bad spirit that we put in our bodies and it's up to us whether we feed it or put it to sleep. I hope you understand the seriousness of it. Many die from it and never find a way to get out. I hope you don't feed it. When "anything" feels like poisoning of the body, it's not worth it.
I came here from your latest vid! As soon as you mentioned getting flushed, a lightbulb went on in my head. This happens to some people, (weirdly, its common in East Asian people) and its to do with blood pressure. Alcohol seems to raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels, which could also explain all the other varous symptoms you described. Super interesting from a medical point of view!
My wife has developed an intolerance to alcohol and this happens to her as well. She gets hot and red, no matter how little she drinks she gets sick and it takes her days to recuperate! It’s actually an issue that just started in the last couple of years.

Hi Emma, I don't drink anymore either. I was having the same symptoms and it turned out to be my gallbladder. After I had it removed I didn't have anymore problems. I just choose not to drink anymore. I've gotten older and one night of fun takes a few days to recover from now! I really enjoy watching your videos and you are so pretty!!💜
Me and my husband both don’t drink. It’s a personal choice. We haven’t had any alcohol for 5 years. I must admit I wasn’t a big drinker anyway but we’re just not arsed about it xx

Yeees!!! Being Allergic to alcohol isn't like being allergic to pollen or a bug bite. It's a digestive system allergy. Your body cannot tolerate alcohol, so I'm REALLY GLAD THAT YOU DONT DRINK❤❤❤ And I really don't think that a doctor would make fun of you or anything like that, because this is a serious health issue sweetie 🤗❤ please take care😍❤❤❤

You are so much more than just a Beautiful face although you are that as well. But it is awesome that you make yourself relatable and that is so important. You have all these Beauty Icons that dehumanize themselves by portraying themselves as Perfect Specimens of human beings because all you see is what they allow you to see. But you allow us to see alm of you and i find it to be refreshing and Beautiful! I love you so much more now as a person. I had a friend back in college who had an intolerance to alcohol and she would get violent mood swings whenever she drank. I hope you figure out a solution soon so you can start enjoying it again! If you need anything you have all of us!

I know this video is older but you’re not the only one!!!! I was drugged over a year ago and since then I cannot drink. Even a sip of alcohol will have me violently ill and up all night throwing up. It’s so crazy.

I have not drank in 9 years, i had my last beer right before i found out i was pregnant with my son. I had a problem with pain medication or opiates, i have a few medical issues that causes severe constant unrelenting pain 24/7 so i was always taking something to ease the pain and got hooked, well i got off of all of it but I'm on a medication to help with the pain and i can't mix alcohol with it, it makes me violently ill so i just don't even try to drink. I miss it once in awhile when there is a holiday party and everyone wants me to join them in a drink or a toast, especially my little brother he always wanted to sit n have drinks with me (He's 10 years younger) i didn't even have a drink with him for his 21st bday 😢.

The effects of alcohol are determined by how much water is in your body. Interestingly enough, it has nothing to do with your size. So for anyone interested: the more hydrated your body is, the more you you can drink without feeling "drunk" and also are less likely to experience hangovers the next day. Another tip- the darker the alcohol your consumings color is, the more likely it is to experience hangovers. Ya'll be safe out there!

Your not alone I worked out a couple of months ago I’m allergic to alcohol.... after years of drinking!
A few months ago I found my face was flushed my nose would start getting blocked and I’d feel like I was getting cold I looked up my symptoms and I’m allergic to the histamines in every alcoholic drink none to man! It’s very annoying my body can’t break the alcohol down at all
Hangovers are the worst for me

Hi! So it definitely sounds medical. None of those symptoms should happen. And don’t feel silly going to the doctor they would never laugh it think your weird! Remember they’ve seen way worse lol so go to your doctor tell them everything and hopefully they can help you and you can have a few drinks again with your friends ☺️ hope you get some answers!! 🙏💕

Love how open you were in this video, I don’t drink really even though I’m 19 because with my M.E it just makes me feel awful after one drink I feel ill and just exhausts me, however I’m also super shy around people and a drink helps me let loose which means I’m not big on going out either x

I am sober as well and i am tiny just like you but I can really handle my alcohol. I am Irish, German, Indian, Spanish. So I am all the big drinking nationalities mixed into one Giant Alcoholic me... i have an allergic reaction to alcohol.. when I drink, I break out in Handcuffs so I have 7 years sober. My mum on the other hand is opposite, she is exactly like you and she also has somewhat of an allergic reaction as well but it doesn't matter if its only 1 drink, she gets drunk and deathly ill. She has an alcohol intolerance where her body doesn't break down the alcohol the same way as most. It is crazy, and I haven't heard of many people having this reaction. She would be happy to know that someone out there knows what she is going through . She doesn't talk about it much at all, she just stopped drinking all together years ago.

That's interesting, I never heard that people are allergic to alcohol. I been away for 3 years now and I wasn't much of a drinker but I felt guilty taking one sip. I'm a light weight drinker so I could easily get exhausted from it. During the time I drank was to sleep in college. I was always up day and night studying and working on my assignments so I would ask some people if I could take a little to rest. I was not satisfied with it and I stopped so I been cleared for years😊 not only that, I don't my son to see me drinking and I'm currently pregnant❤

As an ex professional drinker no really that was my full time job but anyways it sounds like something medical you should maybe consult a doctor and not even have an occupational drink just incase is an allergic reaction your having.

I’ve never touched alcohol in my life and I’m 20, I’m allergic to something in fizzy drinks so and I will be violently Sick. I have a massive phobia of being sick so I won’t touch anything that has alcohol in it
I don't know if its the same thing but I used to be able to drink a lot and it got really bad and I would black out..I noticed that after drinking for a few year's it would only take a 3-4 drinks to get the same affect as when I could drink a lot...this isn't good..my Dr. said it was a bad symtom when it takes very little to get buzzed after being able to drink a lot..he said I was an alcoholic! 😢 So I haven't had a drink since I got out of rehab in 2007...I literally grieved not being able to drink like a normal person! my father has drank since I was born and now he has cirrhosis of the liver....my liver enzymes are now back to normal...thank goodness...I would have DT'S or delirium tremors and my hangovers were no longer normal..I had severe anxiety with them which is scary on there own! I dont know if this helps and my story may be nothing like yours...I just thought id share my experience with you...I wish you all the best...Thank you for your honesty and openness not many people can be that vulnerable...you are very strong! This is exactly how I am when I drink !! I get so sick I won’t be able to sleep for the next like 24 hours and then I’m still sick for the next 3 days. I feel you so hard. I don’t drink much anymore because of it

I love this video, for the makeup and the story. I don't drink because 1 drink turns to 15 no matter how hard I try to drink in moderation, sobriety is way more awesome then feeling sick from alcohol anyways!

I kinda have the same experience when I drink alcohol. I feel sick as I start to drink, just naustious and uncomfortable, then once I'm drunk I still feel the same but after a little while I always end up sick. Now I could probably count on both hands the amount of times that I've drank but its happened every time so I don't drink. I just stick with smoking. Lol. Never really been a fan of drinking anyway.

I was a drug addict when I was teen.. I beat that and later developed a bad drinking problem.. 2 years ago I was at my lowest and I was blacking out and acting like an absolute lushhhbag and doing stupid stuff.. like really stupid shit. I quit for 9 months and developed it again this last summer... I’m currently off it again.. and to be honest I almost caved today... but opted for a red bull instead... thanks for this video.. makes me feel like I’m not alone cuz most days I feel like it... there’s absolutely nothing wrong with not drinking. All I know is I feel 10x better when I don’t.. mentally and physically!

Thank you for sharing Emma. I'm five foot nothing and 100lbs. Every time I drank I would get hot shaky throw up and have a migraine for days. I could have a normal glass of wine for a family dinner and I'm done for, I did bring it up to my Dr. What they told me with my size and body make-up I was dehydrating myself. As dumb and simple as it was all of that was because of dehydration. Not drinking for Xmas does suck but I have made a joke of it....ever here of sparkling grape juice 😉

I am allergic to alcohol. That's why it causes my heart to race and skip. My skin will get severely flushed, too. You may want to look into alcohol allergies.

Same thing happens to me! I've switched to potato vodka and water and 3 drinks total as well as eating. That's been the only think that makes me feel "kinda" normal the next day. I also love non alcoholic beer when I go out for longer than just dinner. Smoking weed is def. So much better for me but I cant smoke bc of my job all the time. OMG I always get so unwell every time I drink as well to the point I’ve been throwing up for 14-20 hours. Can’t keep anything down at all. Cold sweats. Sever vomiting. I thought I was the only person who got this and always blamed myself on mixing drinks but it doesn’t matter if i drink 2 cans of cider or 8 different drinks.

My body is forcing me to gag and throw up even if there’s nothing left in me just dry heaving (lols TMI)

Im allergic to whiskey. Its horribly painful and sucks, its my fav thing to sip on. So i drink clear only. And have to be very picky with my beers.

I choose not to drink also, but not because it causes any issues for me, I just think its a waste of money and time. Like I think drinking and spending money on drinks is a waste because I may not even remember the night. Plus its dangerous!
