Sushant bro, this kind of a format is best for growth of cricket. Agar sirf round robin hoga toh itne teams nahi ho payenge kyun ki fir 2 mahine ka WC karna hoga. Dusri taraf sirf knockout format agar ho FIFA jaisa, toh fir bohut saare 'on the day performance' comes into play and the best teams may get knocked out any time.
In this type of tournament, the smaller teams get enough opportunity but bcoz there's a small round robin in grouo stage and super 8, ultimately the best 4 teams will get to the semi final. Aur upsets agar ho uska impact bhi zyada padega points table pe, toh mazaa aur aayega😊

ICC has to recognise one world cup, preferably the ODI WC, as the premier tournament in cricket. Because right now the situation is that World cups are coming too frequently in cricket. This doesn't happen in any sport. Say the FIFA WC for example. The first FIFA World Cup was held in 1930 and it was quite successful. So why didn't the FIFA decide to conduct the football World Cup every year? Because this 4-year distance between World Cups is actually the main reason why the FIFA WC stands out as the planet's most followed tournament. World Cup is not club football that you can conduct it every year. The essence would fizzle out then.

This is one thing that makes cricket and chess different from all other major sports. As these are the 2 sports which have multiple formats. In chess, the FIDE Candidates is the ultimate tournament but they also hold rapid chess world cup and World Blitz Championship.
Similarly in cricket bcoz there are multiple formats, there has to be T20 WC and WTC to cater the T20 and Test format. But that doesn't change the fact that ODI WC is the ULTIMATE PREMIERE TOURNAMENT OF CRICKET and whatever happens, we all wait for that 4 years apart. No one can change that craze.
