He's a switch hitter w/ speed who plays a premium position. This kid is gonna be a big-time star, if he keeps on the same trajectory that's he on.

Adley was in my financial accounting class at Oregon State, was such a down to earth dude and it’s awesome to see where he is now! From the number 1 baseball college to the show, l love baseball

I got the chills when this happened. I’m sure he worked extremely hard to get here throughout his life, and the fact that he hit a triple for his first ever hit in the big leagues is incredible!

Definitely worked that AB for sure. I think he was looking off-speed on that last pitch. He had to adjust but he wasn't fooled.
The at bat in 9th was great at bat started 0-2 saw 5 more pitches. Very comfortable with 2 strikes

As a Sox fan I’m honestly a little bitter; I mean; first it was Wander and now Adley: Two studs with all the potential to become generational talents that will be wreaking havoc in the AL east for the next 8 or so years.
BUT more importantly, as a baseball fan, this is great for the game!! The amount of young talent finally breaking into the majors this season is great to see!

I’ve watched a lot of his AAA highlights. Not a power hitter. But the dude just has an uncanny knack for line driving the ball into play down the line and also dropping the ball between fielders. Congrats!

The second lefty at bat in 9th was impressive as well. Started 0-2 got 5 more pitches although he got out I like to see quality at bats particularly in his first game edit its AB like this working the count being comfortable with 2 strikes that make great hitters

You could see it in his 2nd and 3rd ABs, he was already adjusting to getting more off-speed pitches than he was seeing in AAA. Making such quick adjustments in such a high emotional game for him is impressive.
Crazy that his first hit was the same result as the only other switch hitting catcher to play in recent mlb history. Congrats to him!!
