In addition to all the times I've been to live performances of The Messiah (maybe a dozen?), I've heard countless recordings of it, and played and replayed many more versions of "For Unto Us," my very favorite among the many in Messiah. This is the most exciting version I've heard in recent years. It doesn't take the slow, ponderous pace of some traditional performances, nor does it have the frenetic, screechy sopranos making a mockery of the magnificent voices and instruments below them. And they're so enthusiastic, without being over the top. I wish I could have been there. Top 5.

Can someone tell me the name of this Choir? They should be justly proud! A magnificent and technically proficient rendering of this significant piece of music. I cannot remember a performance I have enjoyed as much as this. Congratulations!
