If you mix the glitter with the coconut oil first it will evenly coat everything in the oil and allow for better movement once it’s in the nail. Then, just do everything the way you usually do. I used to make custom tumblers and that’s something I learned for the glitter ones. Love your nails and your designs!

@@Me-su2bu I don’t necessarily think she meant put glitter into syringe. Just coat in glitter. I bet it does help. But those bats kinda look made to get wedged into place

Next time, put your glitter in first and the larger bat sequins in after. I think the coconut oil mixed with the fine glitter and made a kind of thick paste which “glued” the bats in place at the tip of the nail. Hopefully, with enough time, the movement of the coconut oil will slowly dislodge enough glitter where the bats will eventually start moving again 🙈

Put a little bit of oil in before you add your glitters/chunkies to suspend the glitter instead of weighing it down. These are soooo cute! 🥰

Put a bit of oil in before your glitters so they aren’t jammed in the bottom from the pressure of the oil pouring in. You won’t have them get stuck if you put some oil in then glitter then the rest of the oil.

I think you need to put a drop of oil in the tip before you put in the glitter. I gel that way with the last aquarium nail when some glitter got stuck in the tip then too.

I have some of those bats for my house. The really huge ones. They stick a little too well you have to literally pull them apart one by one. Maybe if you let them sit in the coconut oil then put them in the nails they won’t stick together. The design was cute great save!
As a beginner a nail tech, I think it would be a nice idea if you filmed a video, and you showed how long each step takes in real time. Like, of course, the video would be split up but after you get done doing your nail forms, you could tell us like oh that took me an hour or so or however, long it took.
I think for aquarium nails you may need to add a little oil first, then the glitter, then top off with oil.
Use your brush or a pencil and add a curve to your confetti before putting them inside. It helps the confetti move around the curve of your nail.

That’s the thing with nail art sometimes it doesn’t go as planned. Love that you show that and you fixed up that bad boy. Maybe the bats stuck to the acrylic a little bit. But keep doing your thing girl! I want your puffy gel but it’s a little pricey at the moment. I do wish they came a tiny bit smaller or individual but I will afford those one day!

I love working with acrylic I just don’t love the smell of the monomer and it is so hard finding a decent odorless monomer that can work with any existing acrylic you may have. I stick with either hard gel or poly gel because it doesn’t smell up my house. But this set was cute. I want to see if I can try to re-create it but with hard gel or poly gel thanks for sharing

Love the nails! Def a good save on the liquid nail. Maybe try adding a little bit of coconut oil before adding glitter. It should move then. It’s like making a snow glove tumbler. I can’t wait to see what you do next!!!

Hey Evie! Maybe next time you do liquid nails and use bigger glitters like the bats if you put the coconut oil in first and then your chunky pieces it might help keep them from getting stuck at the tip?

i recommend staring with fine glitter next time. generally try putting stuff from the finest to the chunkiest into the aquarium nail, chances of the chunky bits getting stuck are much lower then.
