I disagree. I saw Metallica more welcoming after James fixed himself up.... all the rehab and growth he went through. That was the big change in everything Metallica, including how they treat other people and bands.

It’s hilarious to me when people say Wolfy only has a career because of his father. Did it help? Sure but he is only successful because he is super talented which he didnt just automatically have the chops for guitar, bass and drums he had to spend thousands of hours practicing and writing songs. it doesn’t matter who you are if ur not a talented songwriter nobody will care I mean just look at every super famous musician their children always get into music and the only reason you would ever know is from looking up their parents Wikipedia page.

The grown man of 32 has a Grammy nomination. A couple hit singles and is doing the work and has two albums out. Facts are funny things man. I’m old enough to remember when Hank Williams Junior got manure thrown at him for not playing his dad’s material, For growing his hair long, for recording at Muscle Shoales instead of some hit factory. Also I remember when Bachman Turner Overdrive got the weight thing thrown at them . All big name historic acts who overcame the critics and rose above. Wolf spent 14 years in Van Halen playing bass. He also took lessons outside of Van Halen. He’s schooled. I wish him all the happiness in the world. Because being told by trolls that he’s limited to being VH2 would be like prison to any musician worth a crap who wants to do something else. There’s a hundred good VH cover bands out there. Eddie is the Chuck Berry of his era. He will be played and copied forever. Those who want to will find them. I don’t think Wolf owes anyone a damn thing.
