In one of the most innovative natural history series ever presented, Spy in the Wild deploys over 30 ultra-realistic animatronic Spy Creatures to go undercover in the animal world. This 5 x 60’ BBC One series captures unique animal behaviour closer than ever before.
Using special “spy cameras” invented by film maker John Downer’s team at John Downer Productions, the viewer is plunged into the very heart of the extraordinary lives of over thirty fascinating animals across the world, including langurs, orang-utans, meerkats and crocodiles, revealing behaviour that is remarkably like our own. To expose some of the most astonishing animal behaviour ever seen, the team of Spy Creatures go undercover.
These robotic look-alikes make all the right moves to not only be accepted by animals but also interact with them, providing revelatory insights into their world.

When the Lioness came and the other pups ran away to hide, some pups look at the spy pup and some mother dogs silently barked the spy pup, it's like they're telling the spy pup to come with them but no, the spy pup stayed since, it is a spy pup.

this is what im wondering..like how do the dynamics work, do 3 dogs beat 1 lion? are they smart enough to know they are outnumbered. why not just go for the mom dont they run faster?
The dog can change direction a lot sharper and can outrun the dog in long enough distances. So as long as the dog stays far enough way it is fine. Lions are ambush predators they get the advantage by getting the speed advantage before hand and catching their prey off guard.
They wont fight the lion, the lion can kill a wild dog with one bite. They are faster and more agile then hyenas but not as tough. Hyenas can take a beating from multiple lions and still live.
