I think the bigger issue was just the whole drawing in general, not just the leg part. Like, it's not a monstrous creation by any means, but compared to any other drawing or character in the game that was...Unexpected, to say the least.
I think logic of comparasion just made it's thing ya know and the fact that it isn't common for the game's artstyle also helps with the shock factor

I know it's a controversial topic, but I think it's not a big deal that one art is less fitting to the game's "kids friendly" aesthetic. Not all characters should be walking sticks, especially that this is just an art and the skin is actually pretty normal, you see it for like 1 second in game and the kids won't even care. The nfsw ads on CZcams are more of a problem than 1 art and most kids have access to them.

To be honest, it feels a bit suggestive, but I think it's not very wrong with a bit of hindsight.
Colette is apparently a young adult and not a teen, so that covers the main issue of age.
Now, some people may think the part around the dress is too revealing or something. Which I get, but the worst we actually see is like a bit above the leg, on her side, while her leg is lifted which may be misleading at first glance but nothing is actually revealed.
And of course, if one's really a child, they won't be noticing that much I think.
I noticed it was only an issue in the english speaking community too, americans tend to be extremely scared of nudity in general, in some countries breasts aren't even considered sexual, there's cultural differences.
So yeah, I'm not saying they should show breasts but you get the point, Twitter goes wild and really, it's a leg, just a fricking leg.

Considering the fact the Collete was already designed to look attractive to a degree and having a personality that jives with a bunch of players and the community as a whole just seems like Colette is basically being one of those characters where the devs would use to drive up game profit. Honestly Colette in a maid dress was inevitable we just didnt know when. Especially with a bunch of supercell make skins having her in a maid dress.
I dont really see much of an issue in the design since its meant to be an anime parody n such. And usually wirh those they are a LOT more revealing.
(And even then regardless on all of that, shes already one of the most lewded characters from brawl stars next to piper.)

I think the controversy mostly comes from the fact that a lot of people (including me) thought Colette was a teen. And you can't really be blamed for thinking that since her personality is a stereotype most commonly attributed to teen girls, and imo she looks a lot like edgar who is described as a teen in game. But if they really designed her as an adult then fine i guess, but maybe they should have made that more clear

The skin in game is good (though it doesn't really look like Colette) but the drawing in the loading screen is... how to say it? It's on purpose, it was obviously made this way to spark a lot of debate.
I personally think that they could have at least not drawn the upper skirt, or if they did they could have made her wear something underneath because right now it looks like she isn't (even if she might).
