  • In this video we explore the most visited city in Texas, San Antonio. If this wasn't exciting enough, we were also very lucky to have visited during San Antonio's annual Fiesta (Battle of Flowers). Although we missed the main event, we were so happy to have seen the city so alive with music and dancing We also learnt about the importance of the fiesta by visiting the Alamo.

Hi Ladies! So nice to see y’all in my current home town. Yes there is a huge German influence here due to German immigrants from the 1800s. Cities like Fredericksburg, northwest of San Antonio and New Braunfels, north of San Antonio have Octoberfests. The big one is Wurstfest in New Braunfels on November 4-13, 2022. Hope to see y’all there!!

People often overlook the fact that the Texas Revolution wasn't just Anglo vs. Mexican. The group that had the most to lose were the Tejanos. They were Mexican families who had lived in Tejas (Texas) for generations and had their rancheros threatened and/or confiscated by the Mexican government. Juan Seguin, Lorenzo de Zavalla, Jose Antonio Navarro, and Gregorio Esparza are just a few of the many Tejanos who fought to preserve their, lands, their families, and their way of life.

My grandparents used to live in San Antonio. So, we would take trips down to see them. Loved going downtown and do some fun stuff. Fiesta is crazy, but fun.

    First again? Hahaha! 😆
What a grand way to end off on your stay in the USA. That mouth watering food. Loved the riverwalk. Your conversation with that constable and the sobriety test was so fun! The Alamo museum (I💓history). The nightlife (fiesta?), the beer, the dancing, the beer, the hotdog, the beer. That's the way to travel! Lol! Muy magnifico! See you soon! 🍺🇲🇽🍺

Famous people in American history such as Davy Crocket and Jim Bowey (not sure I spelled that right) died at the Alamo.

The German bands back then inspired Tejano music today. The accordion and the beat. Asians down in South Texas played a big part in creating the culture too down there.....North Texas too. Texas is so diverse....its a shame people want to come here to split and divide it all. Sante Fe NM has one of the wild celebrations ever. Its called ZoZoBra. It the week after Labor Day and it begins a week long series of festivals. Its a great time.

Texas has a huge German culture in Texas. Cities such as Schulenberg, Texas have a large German population.

It’s good to know that you gals are traveling again. Asian countries are opening and I’m guessing most of your viewers are from there. You may want to avoid a certain SE Asian country for now since it’s been inundated by foreign vloggers. 😉

There's not a huge Hispanic culture in San Antonio, there's a huge Mexican culture in San Antonio
